Welcome to Love's: Our Corporate Development team is seeking an experienced Special Projects Lead in Corporate Development, to work cross-functionally with strategic, operational, and technical teams to lead high-impact initiatives. The Special Projects Lead will work with teams to define the project’s objectives and oversee quality control throughout its life cycle. You will help evaluate, manage, and execute projects related to partnerships, acquisitions, and strategic growth initiatives. Job Functions

  • Own and lead project development lifecycle from beginning to end.
  • Define project scope, goals and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.
  • Assist Sr. Director, Vice President, and other team members in developing full-scale project plans and associated communications documents.
  • Effectively communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion.
  • Lead cross-functional workstreams throughout integration phases.
  • Set and continually manage project expectations with team members and other stakeholders.
  • Delegate tasks and responsibilities to appropriate personnel.
  • Identify and resolve issues and conflicts within the project team.
  • Identify and manage project dependencies and critical path.
  • Plan and schedule project timelines and milestones using appropriate tools.
  • Track project milestones and deliverables.
  • Develop and deliver progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation, and presentations.
  • Determine the frequency and content of status reports from the project team, analyze results, and troubleshoot problem areas.
  • Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential crises, and devise contingency plans.
  • Define project success criteria and disseminate them to involved parties throughout project life cycle.
  • Develop best practices and tools for project execution and management.
  • Continuously evaluate project outcomes and contribute to process improvements.
  • Other duties assigned as needed
Experience And Qualifications
  • HS Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • PMP certification is a plus but not required.
  • 5 – 8 years of related project management experience.
  • Experience in M&A, business operations, consulting, or related strategic roles.
  • Strong cross-functional project management skills and bias toward ownership.
Skills And Physical Demands
  • Hard skills: Proficiency with Microsoft Office products suite, and ability to learn new software applications and computer programs.
  • Soft Skills: Demonstrated leadership and personnel management skills, ability to perform general mathematical calculations for the purpose of creating needs assessments and budgets, strong verbal and written communication skills, ability to present in a user-friendly language, self-motivated and directed, keen attention to detail, good time management skills, analytical and problem-solving skills, team player, and strong customer service orientation.
  • Requires prolonged sitting, some bending and stooping.
  • Occasional lifting up to 25 pounds.
  • Manual dexterity sufficient to operate a computer keyboard and calculator.
  • Requires normal range of hearing and vision.
