Join Our Innovative Team in Driving Cloud Solutions Role and Responsibilities Reporting to the Head of Digital Cloud Enablement, the AWS Cloud Engineer will play a pivotal role in enabling the organization's transition to modern, scalable cloud solutions while driving innovation and growth within the Banking Solutions business. This role requires expertise in AWS cloud services, Terraform, serverless technologies, EKS, and Fargate. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with product leaders and stakeholders to align milestones and deliver cutting-edge digital applications and experiences. Key responsibilities include: Create foundational building blocks to accelerate the migration of digital banking applications from private to public cloud environments. Design and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions using Terraform for seamless app deployment, monitoring, and performance optimization. Implement and manage AWS-based cloud solutions for app hosting, data storage, and backend services, including services like EKS, Fargate, Lambda, and ElastiCache, ensuring scalability, reliability, and cost efficiency. Lead the adoption of serverless technologies to enhance agility and resource utilization within app environments. Establish robust containerization strategies using EKS and Docker for consistent deployment and orchestration across development, testing, and production stages. Define and enforce app security practices, including code scanning, vulnerability assessments, and secure configurations for platforms and cloud services. Collaborate with development teams to integrate tools, processes, and best practices into the app development lifecycle, from code commits to production deployments. Monitor key performance metrics, logs, and analytics to provide actionable insights for continuous improvement in app quality and user experience. Stay updated on AWS technologies, industry trends, and best practices to drive innovation in cloud solutions. Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including developers, product managers, and IT operations, to align cloud initiatives with business objectives.

Professional Qualifications Proven experience in implementing AWS cloud solutions with deep expertise in Terraform, serverless technologies, EKS, and Fargate. Strong experience in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) automation and management for app development environments. Demonstrate deep knowledge of AWS networking services and architecture, including VPCs, Route 53, CloudFront, and Network ACLs. Possesses the ability to design, implement, and manage secure and scalable network solutions within AWS environments. Show capability in integrating on-premise and cloud environments seamlessly while optimizing network performance and cost efficiency. Knowledge of app development frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, Spring, Node) and experience migrating applications to AWS cloud platforms. Solid understanding of AWS services, including Lambda, DynamoDB, Fargate, and CloudWatch, for hosting, data storage, and backend services. Hands-on experience with Kubernetes (EKS) and containerization technologies like Docker for managing deployments at scale. Familiarity with app security best practices, including encryption standards and secure coding guidelines for web, mobile, and API platforms. Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Bash, Python) for automation tasks related to infrastructure provisioning and deployment workflows. Experience with cloud services optimization, focusing on performance and cost-efficiency. Track record of leading cloud migration initiatives and managing infrastructure projects. Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. Knowledge of app authentication mechanisms, API security, and data protection requirements in accordance with industry standards (e.g., OWASP Top 10, GDPR, HIPAA). Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Private Cloud, including services related to app hosting, data storage, serverless computing, and monitoring.
