Your Role

As a Data Engineer at FINN, you’ll take on an expert role within our core Data Platform team. You'll play a key part in shaping, designing, implementing, and maintaining a state-of-the-art data platform – empowering our analytics and business teams to unlock insights and drive value from FINN’s data!

Your Responsibilities

  • Build the base of FINN's decisions by your data platform: Your ultimate goal will be to create a top-notch data platform that enables analysts to get fast insights aligned to their needs. Since every bit of FINN's data will flow through your data platform, you will be responsible of the data warehouse architecture and the design principles of the data pipelines.
  • Share your technical expertise: Play the driving technical role across different data teams.. You will be able to share your technical knowledge and engineering best practices, as well as shape technical discussions to deliver the best possible solutions.
  • Act as an internal consultant: As a Data Engineer you will work with all of FINN’s data. Partner and engage with software engineers, data analysts and members of the senior management team to help providing insights and recommendations in their respective business areas.
  • Impact FINN’s global expansion: Onboard new regions to our consistent data architecture and find solutions to ensure and sustain scalability.

Your Profile

  • 2+ years of data engineering experience delivering scalable, production-grade data systems.
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience with SQL and Python for data transformation, orchestration, and automation.
  • 2+ years of experience working with Google Cloud Platform (GCP), including services like BigQuery, Cloud Storage, Pub/Sub, or Dataflow/Dataproc.
  • 1+ years of experience working in MLOps, including model deployment and monitoring of ML pipelines in production environments.
  • Proven experience building and maintaining data platforms, including CI/CD workflows, data pipelines, orchestration systems, and infrastructure-as-code.
  • Familiar with data warehousing and data modeling concepts, modern data formats (e.g., Parquet, Avro), and performance optimization strategies.
  • Strong growth mindset and the motivation to continuously improve self and team performance.
  • Previous experience in an agile development team is a plus.
  • Fluency in English.
