Responsibilities

As an Experienced Patient Access and Customer Service Representative at blithequark, you will be responsible for:

  • Promoting a positive patient and family experience and maintaining the image of blithequark
  • Monitoring access issues with provider schedules that affect patient satisfaction and communicating these issues to the team leader
  • Accurately verifying patient demographics and insurance coverage
  • Performing general scheduling, registration, messaging, and customer service duties
  • Answering phones efficiently, providing timely and courteous access to the system
  • Proactively monitoring and responding to communication requests on work queues
  • Effectively using resources to provide the right response to callers with quick thinking and a calm manner

Key Responsibilities:

* Provide exceptional patient care and experiences through timely and courteous interactions

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient information
  • Utilize multiple applications and possess strong computer, writing, and customer service skills
  • Collaborate with the team to resolve access issues and improve patient satisfaction
  • Meet or exceed quality scores and schedule adherence guidelines
  • Complete training exams with a passing score

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A High School diploma or equivalent
  • Twelve (12) months experience in a high volume customer service call center or contact center environment
  • Ability to maintain quality scores of 85% or above
  • Schedule adherence within established guidelines
  • Proficiency in a minimum of 8 sections/skills and all registration aspects
  • Strong computer, writing, and customer service skills
  • Ability to navigate multiple applications

Preferred Qualifications

While not required, the following qualifications are highly desirable:

  • Previous experience in a healthcare setting
  • Certification in customer service or a related field
  • Bilingual or multilingual skills
