Job Summary

We're seeking an experienced Customer Service Representative to join our Specialty Mail Order Pharmacy team in Florida. As a Pharmacy Service Representative, you'll provide telephone support to patients receiving life-sustaining specialty drug therapy. You'll be responsible for the overall coordination and processing of new patient medication orders and reorders, which includes verifying and revivifying benefits. You'll also help our patients with translating and entering in new or refill prescriptions into the pharmacy information system, communicating and collecting copay amounts, obtaining authorizations, and working with insurance companies, healthcare providers, and/or internal teams to screen, identify, resolve, and defer orders that have accounts receivable or clinical issues.

Key Responsibilities:

* Provide exceptional customer service to patients and customers via phone, ensuring timely and accurate processing of specialty medications

  • Coordinate and process new patient medication orders and reorders, including verifying and revivifying benefits
  • Translate and enter new or refill prescriptions into the pharmacy information system
  • Communicate and collect copay amounts from patients
  • Obtain authorizations from insurance companies and healthcare providers
  • Work with internal teams to screen, identify, resolve, and defer orders with accounts receivable or clinical issues
  • Collaborate with patients, insurance companies, and healthcare providers to resolve complex issues and ensure financial and clinical expectations are met

Essential Qualifications:

* One year of experience in a customer service role handling and resolving a high volume of complex customer needs over the phone

  • One year of work experience with Windows-based applications, including Windows, Microsoft Office, internet navigation, and email applications
  • One year of computer keyboarding experience, skills, and aptitude
  • Verifiable high school diploma or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications:

* Pre-existing healthcare work experience and familiarity with benefits, insurance, prescriptions, and medical terminology

  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and deadlines

Skills and Competencies:

* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to work in a team environment and collaborate with internal teams and external partners
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Proficiency in Windows-based applications, including Microsoft Office and email applications
  • Strong computer keyboarding skills and aptitude
