Business Intelligence Engineer I

Centene Corporation is a diversified national organization focused on improving health outcomes through technology. They are seeking a Business Intelligence Engineer I to create reports and visualizations that aid in business decision-making and support the development of Business Intelligence solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Develops BI solution architecture that accurately translates business requirements to technology and ensures the design will meet business requirements throughout the lifecycle of a change
  • Supports day-to-day activities related to defining architecture, establishing infrastructure, and implementing standards used to create a framework for delivering business intelligence solutions
  • Conducts business analysis activities to enable technology solutions that adequately fulfill strategic business needs and objectives
  • Performs project setups, analysis, designs, etc., for and with customers
  • Supports the execution of long-term strategic goals for Business Intelligence development in conjunction with end users, managers, clients, and other stakeholders
  • Conducts research and make recommendations on Business Intelligence products, services, and standards in support of procurement and development efforts
  • Performs and oversee programming, quality assurance reviews, documentation, system deployment, training, and project setup / support
  • Designs, develops, supports, and debugs Business Objects universes and reports
  • Provides timely and appropriate communication to business owners, stakeholders, and users on issue status and resolution
  • Develops and maintain the Business Intelligence architecture at Centene
  • Oversees ongoing development and operations of the Business Intelligence tools and reports
  • Collaborates with end users to identify needs and opportunities for improved data management and delivery
  • Collaborates with Enterprise Architecture on the solution design to ensure it conforms to enterprise architectural standards and future roadmaps
  • Performs other duties as assigned
  • Complies with all policies and standards

Skills

  • A Bachelor's degree in a quantitative or business field (e.g., statistics, mathematics, engineering, computer science)
  • 0 – 2 years of related experience
  • Experience with Microsoft Azure; SQL Server System
  • Experience with Other Developing SQL code, testing for quality assurance, administering RDBMS and monitoring of database
  • Knowledge of Data Modeling
  • Beginner - Seeks to acquire knowledge in area of specialty
  • Beginner - Ability to identify basic problems and procedural irregularities, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
