[Remote] Land Development Engineering Technician
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. SEH is an employee-owned engineering, architectural, planning, and environmental company seeking a Land Development Engineering Technician to join their Civil team. The role involves using AutoCAD Civil 3D for the analysis and design of various infrastructure systems and preparing construction plans and specifications for public and private projects.
Responsibilities
- Use of AutoCAD Civil 3D for analysis and design of roadways, trails, sidewalks, water main, sanitary and storm sewer systems and site improvements
- Use of Microsoft Excel for development of project bid item tables, quantities and cost opinions
- Prepare construction plans and specifications, site plans, grading and drainage plans, studies and reports for a wide range of public and private infrastructure systems
- Learning new design techniques and construction capabilities to bring clients the most innovative and creative solutions
Skills
- Associates degree in Civil Engineering Technology or related
- Experience working in AutoCAD Civil 3D
- Background on Civil Municipal or Land Development Projects (preferred)
- Worked and reviewed project plans and cost estimating
- Reside on the East Coast of the United States in North Carolina, Virginia or South Carolina
- Previous Stormwater project experience
- Reside in North Carolina
