Experienced Community Moderator and Customer Support Specialist – Mental Health and Wellness Community

At arenaflex, we're dedicated to creating a safe, virtual world and welcoming community where members can access life-changing mental health tools and connect with others who share similar experiences. Our community is free to join and accessible on various platforms, including VR, desktop computers, and mobile devices. With over 200 events each week, led by certified guides, members can engage in group meetings focused on serious topics like Anxiety, Depression, Recovery, and more, as well as informal social gatherings and mindfulness or meditation sessions. We're seeking a compassionate and dedicated individual to join our team as a Community Moderator and Customer Support Specialist. In this role, you'll play a crucial part in ensuring the safety and positive engagement of our community members within our online application. Additionally, you'll provide exceptional customer support through Zendesk to enhance the overall user experience.

Responsibilities

As a Community Moderator and Customer Support Specialist, you'll be responsible for: ### Community Moderation

• Monitor user interactions within the application to ensure a safe and supportive environment.
• Enforce community guidelines and policies to maintain a positive atmosphere.
• Engage with community members, address concerns, and provide assistance when needed.
• Welcome and greet new users, fostering a sense of belonging.

### Customer Support

• Respond to user inquiries and support requests via Zendesk in a timely and professional manner.
• Troubleshoot and resolve user issues effectively, demonstrating empathy and understanding.
• Collaborate with the technical team to escalate and resolve complex issues.

### Documentation

• Maintain accurate and detailed records of user interactions and support requests.
• Provide insights and feedback to improve community engagement and user satisfaction.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Empathetic and patient with the ability to handle sensitive situations.
• Familiarity with mental health topics and a commitment to promoting a supportive environment.
• Previous experience in community moderation and/or customer support is preferred.
• Ability to adapt to new technologies and platforms.
• Must have previous experience using Zendesk.
• Academic or professional background in psychology or mental health.
• Bachelor's degree in psychology preferred.

Schedule and Benefits
