Accountant
Risk Strategies Company is part of Arrowhead Intermediaries, a global insurance distribution platform. They are seeking an Accountant to manage various accounting functions, ensuring accuracy in financial records and compliance with accounting standards while preparing financial statements and managing accounts payable and receivable.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the daily premium accounting functions of the Brokerage and Programs accounting team
- Prepare monthly bank reconciliations
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements and reports
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes
- Assist with month-end and year-end close activities
- Support the unclaimed property process
- Support audits and ensure compliance with GAAP
- Contribute to budgeting and forecasting efforts
- Maintain organized and up-to-date financial records
Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- Proven experience in accounting or finance roles
- Knowledge of GAAP and accounting principles
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
