Key Responsibilities:
* Greet customers in a friendly and welcoming manner, determining their needs and exceeding their expectations through exceptional customer service
- Deliver exceptional customer experiences through customer engagement and quality product delivery
- Be knowledgeable of products and services offered and properly promote them to customers
- Identify customer needs and offer additional services that could benefit them
- Receive, sort, and place mail in mailboxes accurately
- Record all sales transactions completely and accurately in our Point of Sale system
- Pack contents for shipping using established procedures and products
- Receive and prepare documents for printing
- Operate all software packages, including shipment manifesting software and label generation
- Process and document damaged shipments, late, and lost package claims
- Assist in merchandising the store, including stocking shelves with product, ensuring a clean and orderly appearance of product, and informing appropriate personnel of inventory levels for re-ordering supplies
- Perform end-of-day duties, including reconciliation of cash, checks, money orders, credit cards, and all other transactions accurately and in accordance with company policy and procedure
- Operate copiers, fax machines, binding equipment, and all other office machines in a safe, efficient, and productive manner, helping customers operate office machines located in the retail area
- Perform general housekeeping duties
Essential Qualifications:
* High school diploma or equivalent required; some college or vocational training preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with customers, colleagues, and management
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to think critically and make sound decisions
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a high level of energy and enthusiasm
- Basic math skills, with the ability to accurately handle cash, credit card transactions, and other financial responsibilities
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds, with frequent standing, walking, and bending
- Availability to work a variety of shifts, including days, evenings, and weekends
Preferred Qualifications:
* Previous experience in sales, customer service, or a related field
- Familiarity with Point of Sale systems and other software packages
- Knowledge of shipping and handling procedures, including package preparation and manifesting
- Experience with office equipment, including copiers, fax machines, and binding equipment
- Basic computer skills, with the ability to learn and operate new software packages
