About the Role

In this dynamic and engaging role, you will combine top-notch customer service skills with genuine care for people to help customers feel comfortable while shopping at arenaflex. As a Customer Service Associate, you will welcome customers to the store, help them find the right products and services for their home improvement needs, and ensure all customer needs are met. Whether you're assisting customers with locating and handling merchandise, processing orders and deliveries, or cross-functionally training in other areas of the store, your daily responsibilities will be focused on delivering the best possible customer service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Welcome customers to arenaflex, answer questions, and deliver friendly and professional customer service.
  • Assist customers with locating and handling merchandise, including down-stocking merchandise and replenishing supplies.
  • Process orders and deliveries accurately to ensure customers receive merchandise as expected and on time.
  • Cross-functionally train in other areas of the store to help deliver the best customer service and support the team during peak periods.
  • Prepare merchandise in your department based on customer needs, such as tinting and mixing paint, cutting and threading pipe, or cutting and bundling wood.
  • Guide customers through shopping or checkout, providing expert advice and recommendations to help them make informed purchasing decisions.
  • Complete other duties as assigned, including maintaining a safe and clean working environment and adhering to all company policies and procedures.

Essential Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following essential qualifications:

  • 6 months of experience using a computer, including inputting, accessing, modifying, or outputting information.
  • 6 months of experience using common retail technology, such as smartphones and tablets.
  • Ability to read, write, and perform basic arithmetic (addition and subtraction).
  • Able to perform duties that may require prolonged standing, sitting, and other activities necessary to perform job duties.
  • Ability to minimally lift 25lbs unassisted or over 25lbs with or without an accommodation.

Preferred Qualifications

While not essential, the following qualifications are preferred:

  • 6 months of retail and/or customer service experience.
  • Bi-lingual skills.
  • Certification in a trade related to the department (e.g., hardware, kitchen, plumbing, electrical, lawn and garden, and lumber/building materials).
