Key Responsibilities

As a Customer Service Representative, you'll be responsible for:

  • Providing warm and personalized service to internal and external customers, ensuring a positive experience for all
  • Working collaboratively with colleagues to achieve the success of our organization
  • Offering exceptional customer service to individuals seeking to travel, use baggage or cargo services by addressing their needs and resolving any issues that may arise
  • Handling all aspects of check-in and baggage processing, including operating an electronic check-in system, boarding, baggage claims, reservations, and resolving related complaints and issues
  • Greeting and assisting customers in a courteous and friendly manner, handling cash, checks, credit cards, travel vouchers, and coupons as forms of payment for tickets
  • Processing transactions, making change, and balancing daily exchanges, while being accountable for overages or shortages
  • Inspecting baggage and cargo, answering phone calls to provide information to guests, paging customers, resolving issues or grievances, and assisting on a case-by-case basis
  • Managing situations involving oversold, delayed, or canceled flights, lost, delayed, or damaged luggage, and resolving such issues promptly and in accordance with our organization's guidelines

Essential Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with customers in a friendly and professional manner
  • Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills, with the ability to think critically and make sound judgments
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with a high level of energy and enthusiasm
  • Basic math skills, with the ability to handle cash, make change, and balance transactions
  • Ability to work a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; some college or relevant experience preferred

Preferred Qualifications

While not required, the following qualifications would be an asset:

  • Previous customer service experience in a fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge of airline operations and procedures
  • Familiarity with electronic check-in systems and baggage handling processes
  • Ability to speak multiple languages
  • Experience working in a team environment, with a focus on collaboration and mutual support
