Key Responsibilities

  • Assist internal and external customers in a professional and courteous manner, responding to their queries and concerns via phone, fax, e-Commerce, and in-person interactions.

  • Receive requests from multiple sources and complete the necessary processes for equipment services, coordinating with Dispatch for prompt delivery.
  • Engage in active listening with customers, confirming or clarifying information, and diffusing angry customers as needed.
  • Provide customers with accurate and up-to-date product and service information, ensuring that they are well-informed and satisfied.
  • Maintain current knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and third-party payor sources for equipment, verifying medical necessity, insurance coverage, and physician orders for all insurance-assigned services.
  • Follow policy and work instructions to ensure that the Billing Department has the correct paperwork to complete insurance claims.
  • Strive to meet or exceed department metrics while providing excellent customer service, making sales or recommendations for products or services that may complement client needs.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management, contributing to the overall success and growth of the team.

Essential Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following qualifications:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
  • 6 months of relevant customer service experience preferred, with a proven track record of delivering exceptional customer support and solutions.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with customers, colleagues, and management.
  • Customer service orientation, with a strong focus on meeting and exceeding customer needs and expectations.
  • Attention to detail, with the ability to accurately process and manage customer information and requests.
  • Good data entry skills, with proficiency in computers and strong typing skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities with ease.
