Our AML Compliance Manager will be an integral part of our Compliance Team, reporting to the Director of AML. The AML Compliance Manager will be responsible for designing and implementing processes to ensure the effective oversight of the first line of defense including managing escalations, reviewing high-risk customer accounts, and challenging decisions. As an AML Compliance Manager, you will be responsible for:

  • Designing, implementing, and maintaining first line escalation criteria and second line review processes.
  • Creating policies, procedures, and processes to ensure consistent handling of potentially suspicious activity.
  • Leading a team of analysts to review high-risk accounts and escalate activity for further investigation.
  • Providing effective oversight and independent challenge of first line AML decisions related to alerts, escalations, EDD, and customer risk reviews.
  • Recommend EDD measures or account restrictions as necessary.
  • Creating reports and dashboards to provide metrics and insights to senior compliance leadership on trends, issues, and areas for improvement.
  • Performing alert testing and tuning.
  • Maintaining thorough records of reviews, decisions, and supporting materials to ensure audit readiness.
  • Work closely across multiple departments to promote a culture of compliance and accountability.
  • Serving as the subject matter expert for AML regulatory expectations and internal escalation standards.

Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or an equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience.
  • At least 5 years of relevant AML/BSA experience in the Casino, Fintech, or Banking industries.
  • CAMS, CFE, or similar certification is a plus.
  • Previous experience leading, managing and overseeing a team of analysts.
  • Strong investigative skills, sound judgement, and the ability to review and interpret financial data and activity, in order to make accurate decisions and provide sound recommendations based on available evidence.
  • Strong knowledge of the Three Lines of Defense Model.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to deliver feedback constructively and effectively.
  • The ability to adapt to changing priorities and to thrive in a fast-paced work environment
  • Excellent Microsoft Office skills.
