Payroll Analyst

The Payroll Analyst will assist the payroll team with global payroll operations, ensuring accurate payroll payments, processing payrolls in accordance with regulations, and resolving discrepancies.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the payroll team with day-to-day global payroll operations
  • Ensure accurate payroll payments to employees across multiple jurisdictions
  • Calculate and process employee payrolls in accordance with company policies and tax regulations
  • Perform essential reconciliations to ensure payroll accuracy
  • Generate reports and maintain payroll records
  • Identify, investigate, and resolve payroll discrepancies with clarity and transparency
  • Assist with timely responses to inquiries as needed
  • Address and resolve any payroll-related issues or discrepancies, including incorrect payments, missed deductions, or employee inquiries about their pay
  • Provide collaborative assistance to payroll stakeholders regarding payroll-related matters
  • Carry out other assigned duties as needed

Skills

  • Previous experience in payroll processing or a similar role
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills with keen attention to detail and effective problem-solving skills to address payroll issues efficiently
  • Proficient in Excel for data analysis and reporting
  • Demonstrates sound judgment in decision-making processes and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective interaction with employees and management
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines, including extended hours if necessary
  • Maintains confidentiality with a high level of honesty and integrity
  • Ability to identify deficiencies in processes, suggest improvements for efficiency, and implement enhancements
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, business administration, or a related field is preferred
  • Certification from the American Payroll Association, such as the Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) or Fundamental Payroll Certification (FPC), is advantageous
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
