Senior Full Stack Developer

Job Description

We are seeking a Senior Full Stack Developer to lead the evolution of our global e-commerce platforms. In this role, you will establish coding standards, streamline development practices, and drive innovation by building custom solutions to optimize our Shopify ecosystem. You will also play a critical role in reviewing existing codebases to ensure efficiency, scalability, and best practices across all development efforts.

This position requires expertise in integrating marketplace sales channels, supporting global expansion, and delivering innovative, custom-built solutions tailored to the home furniture e-commerce sector. With aspirations to grow into a Chief Technology Officer (CTO) role, you will help shape the technical foundation and standards for the future of our business.

Key Performance Indicators for the first 90 days

• Custom Development Impact:

  • Replace 70% of app-based functionality with custom-built features within the first 3 months.

  • Deliver at least three custom features to improve conversion rates to 1.4%.

  • Improve site speed to load under 2 seconds, migrate Lifely to headless shopify theme using hydrogen

• Global Sales Expansion:

  • Integrate 5 marketplace sales channels within 3 months,

  • Successfully helping launch expansion to the USA

  • Launch international shipping and multi-language support within 2 months.

• Performance & User Experience:

  • Achieve and maintain a 90+ site speed score on Google PageSpeed Insights across all brands.

  • Audit and streamline 100% of the current codebase within 1 months, ensuring adherence to best practices.

  • Establish and document coding standards and knowledge-sharing frameworks within 1 months.

Responsibilities

70% of Time: Core Development & Optimization

1. Campaigns and Website Development:

   • Collaborate with marketing and cross-functional teams to execute campaigns and ensure seamless delivery.

   • Develop web solutions aligned with marketing goals and optimize data-driven strategies for conversion improvement.

2. Custom Feature Development:

   • Build interactive Shopify features like 3D visualizations and headless commerce, reducing reliance on apps.

   • Implement advanced tech stacks used by major e-commerce brands to ensure scalability.

3. Marketplace & Global Integration:

   • Integrate Shopify with marketplaces like Amazon and eBay for seamless functionality.

   • Develop global e-commerce infrastructure, including multi-currency, multi-language, and international shipping capabilities.

4. Performance Optimization:

   • Optimize site performance for fast load times and superior user experiences.

   • Troubleshoot and resolve issues with Shopify, shipping zones, and ERP systems like CIN7.

5. Development and Quality Assurance:

   • Oversee quality assurance processes, ensuring robust documentation, troubleshooting, and resolution of issues.

6. Security and Compliance:

   • Implement security best practices, conduct audits, and ensure compliance with industry standards.

7. Reporting and Analysis:

   • Provide actionable insights through regular performance and campaign reports.

30% of Time: Strategic Growth & Innovation

1. Global Brand Expansion:

   • Develop scalable strategies for international market growth and regional optimization.

2. Innovation Leadership:

   • Drive adoption of cutting-edge technologies like Hydrogen and headless commerce.

   • Pioneer features that differentiate the brand in the home furniture e-commerce space.

3. Mentorship & Team Development:

   • Mentor junior developers, fostering technical excellence and innovation.

   • Contribute to long-term strategic decisions with a focus on stepping into a CTO role.

Skills and Experience

• Technical Expertise:

  • 4 Years Experience in Shopify (Liquid), Hydrogen, and headless commerce frameworks.

  • Proficiency in custom coding with front-end (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React) and back-end (PHP) technologies.

  • Strong understanding of ERP systems (e.g., CIN7) and marketplace integrations (e.g., Amazon, eBay).

• Global & Marketplace Experience:

  • Proven success in integrating and managing global sales channels within Shopify.

  • Expertise in developing multi-currency, multi-language, and international shipping solutions.

• E-Commerce & Industry Knowledge:

  • Experience in the home furniture e-commerce sector or similar industries is highly preferred.

  • Knowledge of CRO strategies, interactive product visualization, and customer-centric design principles.

• Leadership & Innovation:
