We are looking for a team member to play an integral role within our Upland Professional Services organization. In this role, you will deliver a variety of training sessions both in person (periodically) and virtually (often) for both new and existing customers. You will play a key role in representing the user’s experience by providing input to the Product team on new features, be among the first to learn about product releases and then create education experiences for the customer community to learn about the new features. You will assist with the planning, development, and maintenance of new training for our Qvidian product line. This position also includes managing small projects and implementations, which requires attention to detail, organizing multiple projects simultaneously and completing tracking and reporting tasks. You must be extremely tech-savvy with a hunger and curiosity to learn new technology quickly. This is a highly customer-focused role, where having the motivation and high-energy to ensure our customers understand how to use our products to succeed at getting their work done faster will be the key to your success.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Deliver tailored product training to customers virtually and in-person
  • Constantly evaluate and innovate to improve existing training and implementation services
  • Assist with the development and management of training materials
  • Stay current on tools, technology, project management and training methodologies
  • Be the early adopter of all new features released
  • Provide product feedback to product management
  • Travel to client locations as needed (10%)
  • Project manage customer engagements and implementations ensuring that the service is high quality and completed on time and within budget.
  • Perform other duties as required

Requirements

  • Minimum three (3+) years of experience delivering professional training through classroom or web-based training
  • Excellent presentation skills in all delivery formats, in-person, online, over the phone
  • Learns new technologies quickly with self-directed initiative, taking advantage of all available resources and seeking additional resources when needed
  • Curiosity to understand not just how-to use a product, but why-to and translating that into stories to use in training sessions
  • Passion to make customers successful through the training experiences. The ability to understand their pain points and translate that into powerful and meaningful training sessions
  • The ability to apply adult learning principles to the delivery of courses
  • High level of flexibility, creativity, and dependability
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Proven ability in being self-motivated with excellent time management and organization skills
  • Ability to establish and build effective working relationships with internal and external customers

Desired Skills

  • Prior experience delivering remote training courses
  • Prior experience delivering software training to a client audience
  • Understanding of the RFP manager persona/role or process
  • Training certification or education in adult learning
  • Comfortable leading meetings attended by individual contributors through C-level executives
  • Experience in creating, maintaining and executing project plans for small and medium projects
  • Ability to create and implement processes
