Head of Business Operations

Remote · USA Full-time New today

What we’re doing isn’t easy. But nothing worth doing ever is.

We envision a future powered by robots that work seamlessly with human teams. We build artificial intelligence that enables service robots to collaborate with people and adapt to dynamic human environments. Join our mission-driven, venture-backed team as we build out current and future generations of humanoid robots.

As the Head of Business Operations, you will develop, implement, and optimize the operational backbone of the company. You will be responsible for designing and leading Diligent’s management operating system (MOS) to ensure clarity, accountability, and execution velocity. You will develop and maintain the frameworks that ensure leadership has the visibility and mechanisms to move quickly and confidently. You’ll also act as a force multiplier for executives by tackling high-priority strategic analyses, special projects, and bottlenecks that unlock growth and ensure the organization can scale without losing focus or execution velocity.

Responsibilities:

  • Establish operating system: build dashboards, OKRs, cadences, and forecasting to drive visibility and alignment. This includes MPR (monthly performance review)
  • Enable scaling: design lightweight but durable processes for decision-making, resource allocation, and cross-functional coordination. Utilize a CBS (constraints-based scaling) approach that identifies and addresses critical limiting factors as the organization scales.
  • Drive clarity & accountability: ensure priorities are understood, tracked, and executed consistently across teams.
  • Act as force multiplier: take on high-impact analyses, special projects, and bottleneck removal to unlock growth.
  • Ops & business strategy: partner with executives to develop operational and business strategies. Model execution plans.

Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Business, Operations, Finance, Data Science, Engineering, or a related quantitative field is strongly preferred.
  • 8+ years of experience in business operations, strategy, or management consulting, with direct experience in operational scaling.
  • Proven ability to design and implement company-wide operating systems (dashboards, OKRs, forecasting, planning cadences).
  • Exceptional financial and operational modeling skills in Excel (must be highly proficient).
  • Experience working closely with executive teams, providing insights, models, and recommendations that drive decision-making.
  • Strong background in strategic planning, resource allocation, and organizational scaling.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex cross-functional projects and drive alignment across stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to distill complex information into clear insights for executives and team members.
  • Experience in high-growth, venture-backed technology companies is preferred.
  • Familiarity with robotics, autonomous vehicles and/or healthcare technology is a plus.
