Key Responsibilities
As a Data Entry Pharmacy Technician at arenaflex, you'll be responsible for:
- Ordering electronic and faxed prescriptions via our pharmacy software, ensuring accurate and timely processing
- Answering phone calls and troubleshooting with nursing staff in a professional and courteous manner
- Adjudicating and troubleshooting rejected insurance claims, providing efficient solutions and accurate information
- Communicating with the fill floor to process orders in a timely manner, ensuring seamless workflow
- Accurately processing prescriptions, calculating proper day supplies and quantities, and maintaining attention to detail
- Problem-solving and providing accurate information and efficient solutions to resolve issues promptly
- Maintaining confidentiality and adhering to HIPAA laws and regulations
Essential Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you'll need:
- A High School Diploma or Equivalent
- A valid Illinois Pharmacy Technician License and good standing with the Board of Pharmacy
- At least 2 years of experience as a pharmacy technician in any capacity (retail, LTC, hospital)
- Basic math skills and ability to perform calculations accurately
- Open availability, including holidays and weekends
- Reliable transportation to and from work
- Ability to follow required HIPAA laws and regulations
Preferred Qualifications
While not required, the following qualifications are highly desirable:
- PTCB Certified Pharmacy Technician
- Long Term Care experience
- Framework LTC experience
- Long Term Care billing/adjudication experience
- Familiarity with Medical Terminology
- Basic understanding of Illinois Pharmacy Law
