Real Estate Accounting Consultant

Accounting Consultant – Property & Real Estate Accounting BC Solutions | Fully Remote | $70,000 – $90,000 BC Solutions provides implementation consulting, development, and operating support to businesses using YARDI® software. We have been operating for nearly 20 years, with a team comprised of industry experts and programmers that love using their knowledge to drive successful projects for our clients. We are looking for an Accounting Consultant with hands-on Yardi experience in property management or real estate investment. This role is a great fit for a senior accountant who is ready to take their Yardi expertise to the next level — applying it directly to client implementations and day-to-day accounting operations in a consulting environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Support clients with property and fund-level accounting operations, including month-end and year-end close processes, reconciliations, and general ledger management.
• Assist in the configuration and implementation of Yardi modules including Voyager, PAYscan/AP, Residential, and Commercial — with guidance from senior consultants as needed.
• Collaborate with clients to understand their accounting workflows and translate requirements into Yardi configurations and best practices.
• Provide training and support to client accounting teams on system navigation, workflow processes, and reporting.
• Maintain clear documentation of configurations, workflows, and project deliverables.
• Communicate project status, milestones, and timelines to clients and internal stakeholders.
• Serve as a resource for day-to-day accounting questions at the property or entity level across BC Solutions' client base.
• Partner with senior consultants on implementation projects, contributing to GL configurations, chart of accounts setup, and reporting structures.

Skills & Qualifications

• 3–5 years of accounting experience in property management or real estate investment.
• Active, hands-on experience using Yardi Voyager in a professional setting — this is a hard requirement.
• Familiarity with Yardi modules such as PAYscan/AP, Residential, or Commercial is strongly preferred.
• Working knowledge of GAAP and standard real estate accounting practices.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy in financial reporting and reconciliations.
• Excellent communication skills — written, verbal, and interpersonal — with the ability to work directly with clients.
• Ability to work independently in a fully remote environment while staying organized and meeting deadlines.
• Comfort working across multiple client projects with shifting priorities.
• Experience with project management tools (e.g., Monday.com) is a plus.
• Exposure to Yardi Investment Manager or fund-level accounting (capital calls, distributions, investor reporting) is a nice to have but not required.
