Responsible for providing expert professional Quality Assurance for billing and documentation of services, along with the appropriate education of faculty, administration, clinical staff, and billing staff to ensure that revenues are maximized and that all regulatory standards are met. Responsible for assessing fees to apply, client billing, and managing payment posting against accounts. Handles “patient Brown” cases for resolution.

Duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Reviewing surgery case logs for bill posting in Epic
  • Work on the surgery-related work queues as required
  • Pick up bill-onlys from hospital ORs (monthly)
  • Process bill-onlys hospital in 2 different Vendor systems
  • Identify pricing discrepancies when applicable
  • Communication abilities, i.e., verbal and email writing skills
  • Support team members when needed
  • Able to adapt to changes as required
  • Attend meeting as assigned
  • Willing and able to identify areas that may benefit from a different process.

Education: High School Diploma or equivalent is required. A bachelor’s Degree in health care or business, or equivalent experience, is preferred.

Work Experience: Requires 3 years of experience in health care billing or related. Experience with outpatient coding and/or health care billing strongly preferred.

Salary Range: $18.87/hour - $31.15 /hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility.
