About the opportunity

The Business Development Manager (BDM) is responsible increasing OEM and B2B sales of all QIAGEN products through development of new opportunities and growing existing accounts via share of wallet. BDM is also to ensure customer satisfaction while they work with QIAGEN. BDM will work closely with project management, SAMs and customer service in both the US and global markets to drive opportunities to close.

He/she should be comfortable selling to small start up accounts and large fortune 50 accounts. BDM should be comfortable with long sales cycles and know how to manage multiple complex opportunities at one time. BDM should have extensive knowledge of NGS and PCR work flows.

Your profile

- Minimum of Bachelor of Science Degree with Masters or equivalent preferred.

- At least 5 years of OEM and / or B2B selling experience.

- Proven sales record and achievements with a wide range of customers

- Knowledge of QIAGEN products preferred as well as extensive knowledge of NGS and molecular biology techniques

- Business development manager is also to ensure forecast accuracy & pipeline

- 50%+ Travel overnight

- Independent worker and problem solver

- Territory - Ideally based in the East Coast

The estimated base salary range for this position is $100,000 - $140,000. Compensation will be based on the candidate’s experience, skills, geographic location, and other job-related factors. In addition to base salary, we offer a total compensation package that includes a commission plan and generous benefits.
