[Remote] Business Development Representative

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. EquipNet helps the largest manufacturers in the world to buy, sell, and manage their surplus capital equipment. The Business Development Representative will work as part of a team to promote products and nurture sales leads into opportunities and invoices.

Responsibilities

  • Make outbound calls as part of an overall promotional strategy for industry projects
  • Utilize LinkedIn and other association memberships to supplement call activity
  • Build and maintain a pipeline of qualified contacts to drive consistent deal flow
  • Meet and exceed goals for call volume, lead generation, and sales conversions
  • Qualify incoming leads, assessing their viability and progressing them to opportunities, offers, and purchases
  • Negotiate pricing and terms between buyers and sellers to facilitate successful transactions
  • Prepare sales contracts for orders obtained and submit orders for processing
  • Qualify and maintain relationships for listings that are posted on the website in your industry
  • Serve as the Project Manager to customers who have listed individual assets on EquipNet.com through you
  • Leverage our 700,000+ contact database and LinkedIn Sales Navigator to identify key decision-makers
  • Ensure identification and development of relationships of equipment dealers within your industry
  • Call customers on the rare occasion that we receive neutral and negative feedback for items sold in your industry

Skills

  • 1 to 2 years of capital equipment sales experience, potentially including food, beverage, cosmetics and/or personal care manufacturing preferred, (but not required)
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration or equivalent experience in capital equipment sales
  • Customer service and/or project management experience also ideal
  • Ability to work remotely in a self-motivated and disciplined manner
  • Proven track record in consultative sales, negotiation, and relationship management
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Deep network on LinkedIn with a history of strong posting activity
