Who We Are Seeking AHCCS is seeking Bilingual Special Education Teachers who believes in the ability of all students to learn, has a passion to help every student be a successful learner and be committed to continuous learning. This teacher will work directly with and support our Spanish speaking students and families. The Bilingual Special Education Teacher will be responsible for:

• Supporting our Spanish speaking students and families to assist in breaking down barriers;
• Developing, writing, and maintaining IEP's;
• Generating required data to meet Special Education compliance;
• Provide support to identified students via the computer and phone;
• Working collaboratively with staff to develop accommodations and modifications of the curriculum;
• Communicate with parents on a regular basis;
• Co-teach with subject area teachers to provide educational support to students with disabilities and any student where assistance can be beneficial.

• Verbally and orally fluent in Spanish and English
• Strong and precise skills in the development and maintenance of IEPs, Quarterly Reports, and progress monitoring;
• Knowledge of state and federal regulations;
• Positive and encouraging outlook;
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
• Proficient use of technology including Blackboard Collaborate, Microsoft Office Suite, and Internet;
• Ability to multitask and effectively manage time under pressure

Education and Experience A Bachelor's degree and PA Special Education certificate. Additional certification in core subject area is a plus. Previous experience working in a Cyber School environment is a positive factor Required Certificates/Clearances: Child abuse and criminal background clearances are required, including Act 168 Disclosure/Release.
