They are seeking an Applied AI Scientist to lead the research, development, and deployment of advanced machine learning and AI systems for healthcare products.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the development, testing, and deployment of machine learning and AI models
  • Support the implementation of predictive, generative, and optimization models for healthcare use cases
  • Contribute to data preprocessing, feature engineering, and model evaluation
  • Conduct experiments and analyze results to improve model performance
  • Assist in evaluating new AI techniques, including generative AI and agent-based systems
  • Participate in prototyping and testing new approaches under guidance from senior team members
  • Collaborate with Product and Engineering teams to help translate business requirements into technical solutions
  • Support the development of AI-driven features and insights for healthcare applications
  • Contribute to documenting results and communicating findings to stakeholders
  • Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code
  • Assist in deploying models and supporting production systems
  • Help monitor model performance and data quality over time
  • Work closely with applied scientists, data scientists, engineers, and product managers
  • Actively seek feedback and continuously improve technical and domain knowledge
  • Contribute to a collaborative and knowledge-sharing team environment
  • Follow best practices for data privacy, security, and responsible AI
  • Support model validation and documentation efforts

Skills

  • B.S, M.S., or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Data Science, or a related field
  • 0-3 years of hands-on industry experience applying Machine Learning (ML), Predictive Modeling, or Generative/Agentic AI in industry, with a proven track record of delivering solutions from prototype to production
  • 0-1 year of hands-on experience with Generative AI and agent development
  • Healthcare or health services experience is a plus
  • Proficiency in Python, deep learning frameworks (e.g., PyTorch, TensorFlow), and agentic frameworks (e.g. LangChain, LangGraph, Autogen, crewAI, n8n)
  • Familiarity in designing and implementing RAG pipelines, and integrating planning, memory, tools, MCP, and A2A protocol for agent workflows
  • Familiarity in building evaluation pipelines for LLM and agent performance, including metrics such as accuracy, reliability, and latency
  • Proficiency in using AI Coding tools like Github Copilot, OpenAI Codex etc
  • Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to learn
  • Good communication and collaboration skills
