Technical Program Manager, Utility Infrastructure Strategy and Planning

. ### Minimum qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or equivalent practical experience. - 5 years of experience in program management. - Experience planning power transmission and substation infrastructure projects. - Experience managing relationships and leading mission critical infrastructure projects with utility service providers. ### Preferred qualifications: - Master's degree in Engineering. - Certification of Engineer in Training (EIT) or a licensed Professional Engineer, and applicable sustainable infrastructure certification. - Experience with techno-economic analysis/financial modeling for electric transmission or substation infrastructure projects. - Experience with planning, discussing agreements, developing, and commissioning large-scale electric transmission or substation infrastructure projects. - Experience in a cross-functional role at the interface of engineering and commercial teams. - Understanding of the intersection of utility power consumption and related infrastructure capacity solutions, including the ability to develop data-driven technical insights and translate into executable commercial solutions for the business at-large. ## About the job As a member of the Energy and Location Strategy team, you'll be part of a diverse, global organization managing various initiatives in support of developing and maintaining Google's data center fleet. The Infrastructure Strategy team plays a key role in developing utility infrastructure and managing infrastructure risk for our data center fleet. Behind everything our users see online is the architecture built by the Technical Infrastructure team to keep it running. From developing and maintaining our data centers to building the next generation of Google platforms, we make Google's product portfolio possible. The US base salary range for this full-time position is $139,000-$208,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Learn more about [benefits at Google](https://careers.google.com/benefits/). ## Responsibilities - Support commercial and technical agreements of data center utility supply with utility providers. Provide agreement quality control services and own domain key-terms within utility infrastructure-related commercial business agreements. - Analyze and model operational utility data, develop, and manage data dashboards. Lead development of utility consumption Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), manage reporting cadence, generate insights, and implement utility optimization projects in collaboration with Google Data Center cross-functional stakeholders. - Develop, populate, and manage infrastructure planning tools and manage the plan of record global utility infrastructure trigger tables. - Serve as the domain utility infrastructure technical/commercial subject-matter-expert throughout the due-diligence quality control process. - Develop domain due-diligence scope standards and serve as domain subject-matter-expert with cross-functional teams during execution of enhanced due-diligence studies.
