Remote · USA Full-time New today

Grade Level (for internal use): 09 About the Role/The Team: The Americas powertrain forecasting team generates monthly forecasts that are used by nearly all OEMs and suppliers for their near-term and long-term planning. This highly collaborative team utilizes analytical excellence to generate the most comprehensive forecasts available while having a deep understanding of the market conditions. The automotive market is at a crossroads and an energetic, detail oriented and outgoing team player is an ideal candidate to fill this role due to the rapidly evolving automotive landscape. Impact and Responsibilities: The Impact: As a Senior Research Analyst on our Americas powertrain forecasting team, you will provide analytical support while sharing your expertise with colleagues. With most of the industry using our forecasts, continued excellence and attention to detail are critical. The wide use of our datasets provides significant opportunities to collaborate with OEMs and suppliers across the region. The data sets that are generated are rich in detail, but the real value is our analysts spending time with clients and discussing the rationale behind the numbers. This ensures the industry is making well informed decisions. Responsibilities: Collaborate internally with our light vehicle sales, production, and powertrain forecasters to understand in detail the market conditions impacting the powertrain forecasts. This includes a deep understanding of OEM powertrain and electrification strategies, consumer preferences, and regulatory frameworks for Canada, Mexico, and the United States. This role offers numerous opportunities to visit clients to discuss our forecast in detail. As the role is based at the heart of the Mexico automotive supply chain, this presents significant opportunities for local discussions. There is never a slow or boring day! This role will require active participation in our monthly forecasts (engine, transmission, and electrified propulsion). Additionally, you’ll be integral in maintaining portions of our Sales Based Powertrain Forecast as well as the newly launched Powertrain Scenario tool! Basic Required Qualifications: 3+ years of experience in the automotive industry with a solid understanding of powertrains. Spanish and English verbal and written communication skills Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Mathematics, or another quantitative/analytical discipline preferred. Strong proficiency with Excel and other Microsoft Office tools with the ability to work independently on complex, data driven assignments. Excellent analytical, written and verbal communication, and presentation skills. Demonstrated ability to analyze and solve complex problems in a timely and insightful manner, using prior experience and curiosity to generate ideas in less clearly defined situations. Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize competing tasks, manage multiple deals and projects, meet deadlines, and maintain high levels of data accuracy and documentation quality. Proven track record of collaborating effectively with peers and immediate leadership, constructively influencing others, and leveraging the wider team to deliver high quality outcomes. Compensation/Benefits Information: Final compensation for this role will be based on the individual’s performance, geographic location, as well as experience level, skill set, and certifications. If you like wild growth and working with happy, enthusiastic over-achievers, you'll enjoy your career with us!
