Senior Motion Designer for 12-Day Event Animation Sprint (Looping Spots from Hand-Drawn Art)

Remote · USA Full-time New today

Overview

We're producing the on-screen content for a large corporate celebration and need a senior motion designer for two connected pieces of work: a set of looping video spots built from hand-drawn illustrations, and a motion graphics package to overlay on an existing announcement video. This is a fast, tightly defined sprint, delivered in about 12 days. Art direction, source files, and a full content list are ready to hand off on day one. We need someone who can move quickly, take clean direction, and deliver broadcast-quality work without hand-holding. The artwork is bold, funky, and hand-illustrated. The event is high energy. We want these animations to feel alive and exciting, not like corporate stock motion graphics. The work Part 1: Looping spots. 9 to 12 short looping animations for TVs and large-format screens, including: Welcome and "Congratulations" holds A countdown timer (roughly 20 seconds, with loud, exciting audio) An intro / transition animation into a main video A reel "holder" loop that plays before featured video content Ambient large-screen pieces (including a slow, subtle animation for a feature wall) Part 2: Graphics package over video. A set of motion graphics, lower thirds, and callouts to overlay on an existing 10-minute announcement video. The footage is already cut and finished and will be supplied. This package draws on the same hand-drawn base artwork as the looping spots, so the visual language carries across the whole event. What we'll provide: layered hand-drawn PSD source files, the finished 10-minute announcement video, a content list mapping every looping spot to where it plays, and exact delivery specs per surface (codec, resolution, frame rate). What we need from you Seamless loops. In and out frames match, no visible hitch on repeat. Faithful to the hand-drawn style. The art has personality and we want to keep it. Multiple delivery formats. Standard TVs take MP4 (H.264). The large LED screens take ProRes or HAP (.mov). We'll give you the exact specs per surface. Light sound design on a few spots (the countdown especially). Most spots are silent loops. Who you are Senior motion designer / animator, expert in After Effects and your supporting toolset Strong at animating from illustration and layered PSD source while preserving the original style Skilled at building clean lower thirds, callouts, and graphics packages that composite onto finished footage Experience with event, broadcast, or large-format screen content is a big plus Comfortable producing seamless looping content and delivering multiple final formats Responsive and decisive. This is a sprint against a fixed event date, so daily communication and fast iteration are part of the job. Timeline Roughly 12 days, hard deadline. The event date does not move. Kickoff immediately on hire. Fast review cycles. Expect to share work-in-progress frequently rather than disappearing and returning with finals. To apply, please include A reel or portfolio showing animation work, ideally pieces built from illustration or hand-drawn art. One line on your availability and capacity over the next 12 days. Your rate: an hourly rate, or a flat project bid for the full scope (looping spots plus the video graphics package). The tools you plan to use. Please open your response with the word "MUSIC FEST" so we know you read the post. AI is making it too easy to mass apply, and we don't have time to restaff this. Apply To This Job
