Volunteer: Executive Coaching for Board Leadership Development

This is a volunteer opportunity provided by Taproot Foundation, a nonprofit creating social change through pro bono connections. We are looking for a volunteer skilled in executive coaching to work with Board of Trustees. Our people are what make our organization so effective. We need your help ensuring that our leaders are as prepared as possible to navigate a crisis or major shifts in program delivery by building up their empathy, agility, and decision-making skills. We are specifically interested in coaching services on the following areas: -Nonprofit Management -Nonprofit Leadership recruitment (Board of Directors, Executive Team, Committees) Deliverables include: - A brief initial assessment of the Board's current leadership gaps. - 10-12 weekly 60-minute coaching sessions focused on Nonprofit Management and Leadership Recruitment (Board and Executive Team). - A final summary report or 'Leadership Roadmap' with recommendations for ongoing implementation. Through this project, you would be helping our executive team fast-track our efforts in bridging the gap for babies born with cleft conditions, but most importantly, by taking on this project, you would be making a lasting impact for years to come for a child in need of medical access to treatment. As a thank you and showing our commitment in the recognition and appreciation we like to show each volunteer that has supported us, we would offer: (1) A certificate of Appreciation, (2)A Letter of Acknowledgment & Recommendation (after successful completion of the project), (3) Social Media Posting showcasing your contributions, and (4) Opportunity for leadership opportunities within the Organization, and/or (5) Opportunities to becoming a Lasting Legacy partner with the Organization. Our organization is primed and ready to make this important investment. We are hoping that our volunteer can meet with the Board of Trustees, 1-2 times per week for 60-90 minute coaching sessions. We hope to have foster this engagement for the next 30-90 days, as this will allow us the understanding and implementation of the coaching recommendations for successful key milestone outcomes.
