We are seeking a Manager, Development to play a key role managing a successful technical team, delivering new capabilities iteratively through an IT Product-Oriented-Delivery (POD) team framework. This role acts as a critical liaison between business solution lead, business analysts and technical teams to coordinate delivery of new and enhanced capabilities from ideation and requirements... gathering through delivery and maintenance. The Manager, Development is accountable for prioritizing project deliverables, assigning project responsibilities to team members and ensuring the on-time completion of project tasks, with high quality. This role participates actively in software design meetings, code reviews, change management planning, and ensures adherence to department standards and documentation. This role must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of management both within and outside of the IT department. Manager, Development: • Customer Focus & Understanding Our Business • 5+ years of experience in software development in Supply Chain systems preferably in Warehouse Management. • Hands on Experience with C#, Java, XML, SQL Server, Oracle, REST API, microservices, PL-SQL, Responsive UI, CSS, jQuery, Web Services, API Development, SQL and query writing. • Experience working with Cloud and Cloud Native technologies such as Azure, GCP, AWS Services, CI/CD, Containerization, Docker, Kubernetes • Proven skills translating business requirements to technical requirements for developers with varying levels of experience • Experience with Agile and Waterfall Development Methodologies • Driving for Results • Ability to meet aggressive timelines, at times working on multiple projects • Continuously assess and re-evaluate project priorities; develop contingency plans • Understanding of deployment issues in a complex environment - security, networking, DNS, load balancers, service dependencies, disaster recovery, application performance etc. •

  • Expert time management, organization, and leadership skills to effectively drive work & optimize delivery

• Advocates and participates in leading practices and procedures for scalable and flexible solutions in the following areas: • Systems Analysis and Design methodologies • Systems Prototyping • Software Engineering • Quality Engineering • Integration implementation • Application implementation • Data Security and Integrity • Application configuration & development standards • Layered, plug & play architecture • High performing agile/scrum development operations • Adaptability & Leading Change • Demonstrated skills in leading, guiding, and mentoring others • Serve on departmental process improvement initiatives • Perform team capacity planning, work prioritization and resource allocation • Define and ensure adherence to project management processes, templates, standards • Manage deliverable quality to ensure solutions meet requirements • Ensures all appropriate Change Requests are composed & tracked through the Change Approval Board • Building Partnerships • Maintain and promote a positive rapport with the user community • Demonstrated skills fostering a productive & collaborative work environment • Facilitate technical review and release planning meetings • Partner with other managers to improve existing policies and procedures or identify where new ones need to be developed. • Develops Self and Others • Promotes team building and skills development of POD team members • Cross-coordinates feedback and learning among all developers • Participates in Community of Practice activities for professional development • Perform other duties as assigned to support business objectives and fulfill the corporate Mission Apply Job!
