Cloud Engineer

The Cloud Engineer role involves collaborating with project teams to solve complex problems, designing and deploying cloud services, and automating cloud resource provisioning.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate within a project team to solve complex problems
- Create scripts and templates to automate the provisioning of cloud resources
- Adapt and learn new technologies quickly in a dynamic environment
- Design and deploy cloud services in a high-performance production environment
- Work independently on assigned project tasks while maintaining accountability and communication
- Actively contribute to project workstreams, demonstrating measurable progress and ownership of deliverables
Skills
- Experience working with databases, compute, storage, and networks on one or more of the following platforms: Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services (AWS), Google Cloud Platform (GCP), VMware, or Oracle Cloud Platform
- Hands-on experience performing a Cloud Migration or a Cloud Modernization project
- This is a hybrid, onsite role based in the DC Metro area, candidates must be local or willing to relocate
- U.S. Citizenship required
- Worked on or implemented a Cloud migration project
- Relevant cloud certifications, such as Microsoft Certified Azure Solutions Architect or AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner
- Hands-on experience with containerization and serverless technologies, such as AWS Lambda, Google Cloud Functions, or Azure Functions
- Exposure to DevOps Methodologies, including the use of orchestration and management tools such as Chef, Ansible, or similar platforms
- Active Secret clearance or higher
