Sales Development Representative

Roxtec UK & Ireland is a leader in cable and pipe seals, and they are seeking a Sales Development Representative to drive new business opportunities. The role involves developing relationships with key stakeholders, promoting solutions, and supporting the external sales team.

Responsibilities

  • Focus on new business development through new and existing customers
  • Effectively partner and work with the Marketing team, External Sales team and Internal Technical Support team to develop account intelligence and help define target markets and opportunities
  • Mapping account research
  • Prospecting – Cold calling/emailing, referrals, social selling to generate interest
  • Re-engaging existing targets with no recent activity
  • Scheduling meetings for the outside sales team
  • Documenting information and interactions in the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software
  • Following up on incoming leads, as appropriate
  • Effectively promote and apply Roxtec Core Values, within Roxtec and within industry
  • Provide routine, accurate and meaningful market information, forecasting and product planning to management
  • Provide pre-sales technical advice and solution guidance. This will extend to providing design input for our range of bespoke products where required
  • Develop relationships with learning managers within design engineering clients, organizing lunch & learn and CPD programmes

  • Offer advice and support of best installation approach
  • Utilize literature and product guides to help secure quality installation
  • Office based a minimum of 3 days a week
  • University degree and/or equivalent
  • Professional sales experience with preference to those that have a successful record within a phone based business development role
  • Experience of working on power generation, datacenters, onshore oil and gas, rail, pharma or water markets
  • Knowledge in target sector with experience of civil construction, electrical, controls, automation and/or mechanical systems
  • Proven ability to manage long-term and complex sales projects to success
  • Ability to use industry news/project databases/relationships to develop technical sales opportunities
  • Experience of working with and supporting external sales roles as part of a team
  • Proven track record of successfully working from home
  • Successful track record of selling premium solutions within a phone based selling role
  • Experience of providing technical support both internally and externally
  • Successful track record of working with premium solutions against low-cost competitors
  • Ability or desire to pursue a technical sales role in the future
  • Full UK driving license

Benefits

  • This role will be office based a minimum of 3 days a week, however if living outside a commutable distance from the office, full expenses will be paid to cover this.
