We are seeking an experienced Bookkeeper with expertise in QuickBooks Online, construction industry accounting, and a strong foundation in various financial software. I’m looking for a highly experienced bookkeeper/accounting professional with strong QuickBooks Online knowledge and a background in construction accounting. This is not an entry-level role — must be able to hit the ground running. Requirements:
- Strong experience in QuickBooks Online (QBO)
- Construction accounting is a MUST
- Job costing experience (CIP, project tracking, WIP)
- Bank & credit card reconciliations
- Ability to balance and review the general ledger
- Experience with prepaid entries, accruals, and journal entries
- Understanding of intercompany transactions
- Comfortable handling multiple entities/companies
- Ability to clean up books and correct prior errors
Bonus if you have experience with:
- Construction loans / draw schedules
- Owner distributions, partner equity & contributions
- Payroll entries and payroll liabilities
- Experience with Service Fusion or similar systems
Position Details:
- Remote / work from home
- Must be local to the Denver, NC area (or nearby)
- Flexible structure: 1099 subcontractor or W-2 employee
- Ongoing work across multiple companies
- Pay: 1099 or W-2 (depending on fit)
