Role Overview

We are seeking a meticulous, self‑motivated Part‑Time Data Entry Analyst to support the Global Merchant & Network Services (GM&NS) Pricing Group’s forecasting and reporting initiatives for the Canadian market. This remote position offers flexible hours, allowing you to balance work with personal commitments while contributing directly to arenaflex’s revenue growth and strategic decision‑making. You will work closely with cross‑functional teams, external auditors, and vendor partners to ensure data accuracy, timely reporting, and insightful analysis that drives profitable pricing strategies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain detailed Canadian revenue forecasts, tracking monthly performance against targets and highlighting variance drivers.
  • Compile and maintain a comprehensive list of discounted business income for the Canadian region, ensuring data integrity and accessibility.
  • Lead the design and execution of reporting processes across multiple regional cost groups, delivering clear, actionable insights to senior leadership.
  • Coordinate with external audit teams, investigate findings, and communicate resolutions with local value teams and vendor partners.
  • Perform ad‑hoc data analyses to evaluate discount rates, pricing elasticity, and market trends, presenting findings in concise visual formats.
  • Support the creation of best‑in‑class financial models using SAS, SQL, and Excel, translating large data sets into strategic recommendations.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across finance, product, and operations to align forecasting assumptions with business objectives.
  • Maintain meticulous documentation of methodologies, assumptions, and data sources to ensure auditability and repeatability.
  • Identify opportunities for process automation and efficiency improvements, proposing innovative solutions to streamline reporting workflows.
  • Provide timely responses to internal inquiries, delivering clear explanations of forecast outcomes and variance analyses.

Essential Qualifications

  • Minimum of two years experience in financial analysis, business payments, or related finance functions.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a closely related field.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions, pivot tables, and macro development.
  • Hands‑on experience with data‑analysis programming languages such as SAS and SQL.
  • Strong analytical mindset with a proven ability to build robust financial models and extract meaningful insights from large data sets.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, capable of presenting complex information to both technical and non‑technical audiences.
  • Detail‑oriented approach with a commitment to accuracy, consistency, and data quality.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, meet tight deadlines, and remain calm under pressure.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience within the payments or merchant services industry, particularly in discount‑rate analysis.
  • Familiarity with financial planning & analysis (FP&A) tools such as Adaptive Insights, Anaplan, or Oracle Hyperion.
  • Exposure to audit processes and vendor management, including the ability to negotiate and resolve data‑related issues.
  • Project management experience, with a track record of taking initiatives from concept through implementation.
  • Demonstrated creativity in problem‑solving, challenging existing processes, and proposing innovative solutions.
  • Customer‑focused mindset, with a willingness to understand and address internal stakeholder needs.

Core Skills & Competencies

  • Analytical Excellence: Ability to dissect complex financial data, identify trends, and translate findings into strategic actions.
  • Technical Proficiency: Strong command of Excel, SAS, SQL, and data‑visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
  • Communication: Clear, concise, and persuasive communication style, both written and oral.
  • Collaboration: Proven ability to work effectively with cross‑functional teams, influencing outcomes without direct authority.
