Key Responsibilities

  • Provide expert IT administration and project management for arenaflex’s IT Facilities group, ensuring the operational reliability of data center and server farm infrastructure that supports airline communication systems.
  • Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of power, cooling, and physical security systems for both on‑site and remote data center environments.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams—including application development, engineering, and vendor partners—to provision workstations, equipment, and access for testing and production workloads.
  • Lead remote coordination efforts for infrastructure support and break‑fix activities across multiple geographically dispersed data center sites.
  • Develop and enforce departmental policies, standards, and procedures that align with corporate governance, regulatory compliance, and industry best practices.
  • Manage capital projects related to data center expansion, redesign, and upgrades, including budgeting, vendor selection, and lifecycle replacement planning.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of infrastructure assets, contracts, and service level agreements, ensuring vendors meet contractual obligations.
  • Provide proactive and reactive support for incidents, tickets, and change control processes, prioritizing safety, security, and data integrity.
  • Audit and reconcile inventory records, identify discrepancies, and implement corrective actions to maintain data accuracy.
  • Support corporate real‑estate initiatives that intersect with IT infrastructure, such as fiber ring upgrades and ground‑level network expansions.

Essential Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of hands‑on experience in IT facilities management, data center operations, or server farm environments.
  • Demonstrated experience managing high‑availability infrastructure projects, including power, UPS, HVAC, fire suppression, and cabling systems.
  • Strong knowledge of industry standards such as ANSI/TIA‑942, Uptime Institute Tier classifications, and ITIL service management practices.
  • Proven ability to develop and maintain detailed technical documentation, project plans, and vendor contracts.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build and sustain relationships with senior leadership, vendors, and cross‑functional teams.
  • Solid analytical and problem‑solving capabilities, with a focus on proactive risk mitigation and continuous improvement.
  • Commitment to safety, security, and compliance, adhering to change control and incident management procedures.
