  • Architecture & Design: Lead the design and implementation of robust, fault‑tolerant data pipelines that ingest, transform, store, and analyze massive streams of telemetry from millions of devices worldwide.
  • Performance Optimization: Drive performance improvements across the data stack, ensuring low latency, high throughput, and cost‑effective resource utilization.
  • Cross‑Functional Collaboration: Partner with product managers, data scientists, security teams, and hardware engineers to translate business requirements into scalable data solutions.
  • Quality & Reliability: Establish and enforce best practices for testing, monitoring, and incident response, maintaining the highest standards of data integrity and availability.

  • Compliance & Privacy: Ensure all data pipelines comply with global privacy regulations and internal security policies, embedding privacy‑by‑design principles throughout.

Essential Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field (or equivalent practical experience).
  • Minimum 8 years of hands‑on experience in large‑scale data engineering, with at least 3 years in a leadership or people‑management role.
  • Proven track record of designing, building, and operating complex data platforms that handle petabytes of data and billions of events per day.
  • Deep expertise in distributed systems and big‑data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, Flink, Kafka, HBase, Impala, or similar.
