At arenaflex, we are redefining how the aviation industry connects people, places, and data. Our mission is to deliver seamless, secure, and high‑performance technology solutions that keep millions of passengers moving safely across the globe. As a leading provider of airline‑focused IT services, arenaflex blends cutting‑edge cloud infrastructure, data‑center expertise, and a culture of relentless innovation. Whether you’re working from a home office in Georgia or collaborating with global teams, you’ll be part of a forward‑thinking organization that values trust, integrity, respect, and continuous improvement.

Why This Role Matters – The Impact of an IT Business Analyst at arenaflex

Our IT Offices Group is the backbone of arenaflex’s digital ecosystem. As a Remote IT Business Analyst, you will bridge the gap between business objectives and technical execution, ensuring that our data‑center and remote‑communication environments are reliable, scalable, and aligned with strategic goals. Your work will directly influence the uptime of critical airline operations, the efficiency of our server farms, and the safety of the fiber‑optic networks that power the Atlanta hub and beyond.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with senior leadership, vendors, and cross‑functional teams to define, prioritize, and document infrastructure projects.
  • Maintain and enhance the operational health of data‑center facilities, including power, cooling, UPS, and fire‑suppression systems.
  • Lead the planning, budgeting, and execution of capital upgrades, redesigns, and lifecycle replacements for server‑farm hardware.
  • Provide proactive and break‑fix support for security tickets, hardware incidents, and service‑level breaches across remote communication rooms and labs.
  • Develop and enforce departmental policies, standards, and procedures to ensure compliance with corporate governance and industry regulations.
  • Manage vendor relationships, negotiate contracts, and verify that service agreements meet contractual obligations.
  • Conduct site assessments for space, UPS capacity, and cooling limits, delivering detailed reports that guide infrastructure decisions.
  • Oversee the implementation of electrical, HVAC, fire protection, security, and cabling projects within communication rooms.
  • Maintain accurate documentation, change‑control logs, and incident records to support audit readiness and continuous improvement.
  • Balance multiple priorities, adapt to shifting schedules, and be on‑call for emergency response when critical infrastructure issues arise.

Essential Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of hands‑on experience in high‑availability data‑center or server‑farm environments.
  • Demonstrated expertise in infrastructure project management, including budgeting, vendor selection, and lifecycle planning.
  • Strong knowledge of data‑center infrastructure components: power distribution, UPS, cooling, fire suppression, and fiber‑optic networking.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain effective relationships with senior leadership, vendors, and technical teams.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a focus on clear documentation and stakeholder alignment.
  • Commitment to safety, security, and data‑privacy best practices.

Preferred Qualifications & Skills

  • Professional certifications such as ITIL, PMP, or Cisco CCNA/CCNP.
  • Experience with remote monitoring tools, ticketing systems (e.g., ServiceNow), and automation platforms.
  • Background in designing and implementing fiber‑ring networks for airport or campus environments.
  • Familiarity with regulatory standards (e.g., PCI‑DSS, ISO 27001) and compliance audit processes.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including occasional evenings or weekends, to support global operations and emergency incidents.

Core Competencies for Success

  • Analytical Thinking: Translate complex technical data into actionable business insights.
  • Project Leadership: Drive projects from concept through delivery while managing scope, schedule, and budget.
  • Collaboration: Foster strong partnerships across IT, operations, finance, and external vendors.
  • Problem Solving: Quickly diagnose infrastructure issues and implement effective remediation.
  • Adaptability: Thrive in a dynamic, remote‑first environment with shifting priorities.
  • Attention to Detail: Ensure meticulous documentation, change control, and compliance tracking.
