As a remote‑first organization, arenaflex empowers talent from every corner of the globe to collaborate, innovate, and grow while working from the comfort of their own homes.
Why This Role Matters
In the fast‑paced world of streaming, accurate subscriber data is the lifeblood of strategic decision‑making. The Senior Data Analyst you will become is the guardian of that data, ensuring that every subscription change, price adjustment, and new sign‑up is captured, validated, and reported with precision. Your work will directly influence product roadmaps, pricing strategies, and compliance initiatives, helping arenaflex maintain its position as the industry’s most trusted entertainment provider.
Role Overview
As a Senior Data Analyst – Remote Data Entry & Business Intelligence, you will partner with cross‑functional teams—including Data Engineering, Business Operations, Finance, and Product Management—to design, implement, and maintain robust data pipelines that track subscriber metrics across all arenaflex streaming services. You will be responsible for translating complex business requirements into clear data specifications, overseeing data ingestion, and delivering actionable insights that drive revenue growth and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Data Ingestion & Management: Own the end‑to‑end process for ingesting subscriber data (price changes, subscription upgrades/downgrades, new sign‑ups) from multiple sources into arenaflex’s data warehouse.
- Business Rule Development: Collaborate with product and legal teams to define and codify business rules that determine which subscribers trigger alerts, compliance checks, or remediation actions.
- Stakeholder Communication: Translate technical findings into concise executive summaries, highlighting potential risks, data quality issues, and recommended corrective actions.
- Data Quality Assurance: Build and maintain data quality frameworks, including automated validation scripts, anomaly detection, and exception handling processes.
- Project Coordination: Lead cross‑functional project timelines, ensuring data readiness for major product launches, pricing updates, and regulatory reporting deadlines.
- Process Optimization: Drive continuous improvement of data collection, transformation, and reporting workflows by developing best‑practice playbooks and standard operating procedures.
- Collaboration with Data Product & Analytics Teams: Partner with Data Product Management and Data Quality Engineering to design resilient data delivery solutions that minimize downstream incidents.
- Documentation & Knowledge Sharing: Maintain comprehensive documentation of data models, pipelines, and business logic to enable seamless knowledge transfer across the organization.
Essential Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of hands‑on experience writing complex SQL queries, particularly within an ETL pipeline environment.
- At least 2 years of analytical experience interpreting large data sets to drive business decisions.
- Proficiency in a statistical programming language such as Python or R, with the ability to develop reusable data scripts.
- Familiarity with data visualization and BI tools like Looker, Tableau, or Power BI (experience with Scene, Chartio, or similar platforms is a plus).
- Strong relational database knowledge, including schema design, indexing, and performance tuning.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a proven track record of presenting technical concepts to non‑technical audiences.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently in a remote environment while maintaining high levels of productivity and collaboration.
Preferred (Nice‑to‑Have) Qualifications
- Understanding of statistical concepts such as hypothesis testing, regression analysis, and predictive modeling.
- Advanced degree (Master’s or Ph.D.) in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Experience with data pipeline orchestration tools (e.g., Airflow, Prefect) and cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure).
- Knowledge of data governance frameworks and regulatory compliance standards relevant to subscription services.
- Familiarity with streaming‑industry metrics (ARPU, churn rate, LTV) and the unique data challenges they present.
Core Skills & Competencies
- Analytical Thinking: Ability to dissect complex problems, identify root causes, and propose data‑driven solutions.
- Detail Orientation: Meticulous attention to data accuracy, ensuring that every subscriber record is captured correctly.
- Collaboration: Strong teamwork skills, comfortable partnering with engineers, product managers, finance, and legal stakeholders.
- Project Management: Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and keep projects on track.
- Adaptability: Thrive in a fast‑changing environment, quickly learning new tools, processes, and business domains.
- Communication: Clear, concise, and persuasive storytelling with data, tailored to executive, technical, and operational audiences.
