Position Overview
We are currently seeking a skilled and dedicated Physician Assistant to join our clinical team at arenaflex in Saint Cloud. This full-time position offers an exciting opportunity to practice at the top of your clinical license while making a meaningful impact on the health and well-being of your local community. As a Physician Assistant at arenaflex, you will deliver comprehensive Primary and Family care, including thorough assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and management of acute and chronic medical conditions, health counseling, and preventive care planning.
This role provides exceptional independence to run your practice with supportive colleagues and organizational resources, flexible scheduling options, and outstanding tools, training, and evidence-based guidelines to elevate and support the continuity of care for your patients.
Key Responsibilities
As a Physician Assistant at arenaflex, you will be empowered to deliver holistic, evidence-based care that makes a real difference in patients' lives. Your key responsibilities include:
- Comprehensive Patient Care: Provide thorough assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and management of medical conditions, along with health counseling and preventive care planning for patients of all ages.
- Clinical Procedures: Perform diagnostic tests to support diagnosis and treatment for wounds, illnesses, and injuries. Administer vaccinations and injections, including but not limited to COVID-19, flu, tuberculosis, and Depo-Provera, while providing evidence-based patient and parent immunization guidance.
- Patient Education: Counsel patients about healthy lifestyle choices, discuss preventive measures including sexually transmitted infection (STI) prevention and safer sex practices, and encourage patients to become active participants in their healthcare.
- Wellness Programs: Promote health through services such as health screenings, behavioral health, wellness programs, and ongoing conditions management.
- Administrative Duties: Manage facility operations including opening/closing procedures, inventory management, patient flow, verifying insurance and collecting payments, and maintaining a clean and professional environment.
- Care Coordination: Coordinate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care plans and optimal patient health outcomes.
- Documentation: Complete patient charting and follow-up documentation during your shift, with no bringing work back home.
- Emergency Response: Maintain Basic Life Support (BLS) certification and be prepared to perform CPR and operate an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) when needed. Must pass a FIT test and wear provided respiratory coverings as protocol requires.

Required Qualifications
To excel as a Physician Assistant at arenaflex, candidates must meet the following requirements:
- Education: Graduate degree-level Family Nurse Practitioner program with current National Board Certification and State of Practice license to practice in the Advanced Practice Registered Nurse role; OR a Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies (or other health-related graduate degree or comparable experience along with a Bachelor's in Physician Assistant Studies) with current National Board Certification and State of Practice license to practice in the Physician Assistant role.
- Clinical Experience: Minimum of two years of clinically relevant experience or equivalent.
- Certification: Complete the Spot certification test within 30 days of employment.
- Language Skills: Depending on the market, ability to be proficient in both speaking and writing in additional languages, including but not limited to Spanish.
- BLS Certification: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) accreditation, including the ability to perform CPR and operate an Automated External Defibrillator (AED).
- Respiratory Protection: Ability to pass a FIT test and wear provided respirator coverings when protocol requires.
Preferred Qualifications
The following qualifications, while not required, are preferred and may enhance your candidacy:
- Precepting Experience: If you have less than 1 year of work experience as a licensed provider, previous precepting experience with MinuteClinic is preferred but not required.
- Multilingual Capabilities: Additional language proficiency beyond English and Spanish, particularly in languages prevalent in the local community.
- Specialty Certifications: Additional certifications in specialized areas such as dermatology, pediatrics, or geriatrics.
