Position Overview

The Remote Quality Control Standards Data Analyst plays a critical role within our Quality Control Strategies and Standards Team. This position is responsible for driving a culture of safety, efficiency, and innovation by identifying statistical trends, analyzing performance metrics, and recommending process improvements that directly impact the overall effectiveness of the Quality Control department. The work you do will help arenaflex maintain low operational costs, modernize our systems, and improve compliance — all of which give us a competitive edge in the marketplace.

As a Data Analyst at arenaflex, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather, validate, and analyze data, then present your findings in a way that resonates with both technical and non-technical audiences. Key Responsibilities

As a Quality Control Standards Data Analyst at arenaflex, your day-to-day responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Data Collection and Validation: Perform and assist team members in optimal data collection, validation, and root cause analysis across a wide range of data elements to ensure accuracy and reliability.
  • Insightful Reporting: Help create and deliver results derived from complex data and analysis for both technical and non-technical users and leaders, translating numbers into clear, actionable stories.
  • Ad Hoc Analysis: Support the investigation of urgent, unplanned requests resulting from emerging operational or maintenance issues, and provide analytical reporting that enables senior leadership to make timely business decisions while balancing existing project responsibilities.
  • Data Visualization: Present insights, trends, and recommendations using data visualization tools that support key analysis points and improve stakeholder understanding of complex information.
  • Query Development: Assist in developing and distributing specialized queries to pull and organize data from multiple sources, establishing a consistent rhythm and validating the necessity of data requirements.
  • Process Auditing: Identify inconsistencies in processes through audits and reviews, and communicate findings to the team with clear recommendations for improvement.
  • Effectiveness Evaluation: Evaluate the effectiveness of processes and procedures by monitoring for trends and discrepancies, and provide ongoing feedback for continuous enhancement.
  • Compliance Mindset: Ensure that a compliance perspective remains at the center of every decision, action, and recommendation made within the department.
  • Additional Duties: May perform other work-related responsibilities as directed by the Team Leader to support departmental goals.

  • Analytical Expertise: Demonstrated ability to collect, organize, analyze, and interpret large volumes of data with meticulous attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Communication Skills: Capacity to actively listen, understand complex ideas, and effectively communicate them in writing, verbally, or through presentations tailored to audiences of varying technical backgrounds.
  • Business Acumen: Ability to assess business problems, identify opportunities for data-driven solutions, and translate resulting metrics into meaningful recommendations for stakeholders.
  • Technical Proficiency: Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) is required. Familiarity with data visualization tools and platforms such as Tableau, Alteryx, and QuickBase is strongly preferred.
  • Problem-Solving Mindset: Capacity to understand complex issues, summarize findings, perform root cause analysis, and provide logical recommendations using sound reasoning and critical thinking.
  • Presentation Skills: Ability to use PowerPoint to build polished, professional presentations for verbal communications is preferred.
  • Relevant Experience: Previous internship experience, capstone projects, or research coursework in a related field is highly valued.
  • Team Collaboration: Proven ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment while also functioning independently when needed.

  • Internship Background: Prior internship experience in a related field is preferred.

Essential Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Statistics, Mathematics, Business Administration, Information Systems, or a closely related field.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office tools, with particular emphasis on Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze data, identify trends, and present findings clearly.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior internship or professional experience in data analysis, quality control, or a related discipline.
  • Hands-on experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Alteryx, or QuickBase.
  • Experience working with SQL or other database query languages.
