Job Title: Leadership Recruiter – Healthcare Location: Remote (U.S.) Employment Type: Contract Compensation: $32.00–$43.00 per hour Schedule: Flexible Hours Required | Preference for Central Time Zone Candidates | Must Be Able to Support Hiring Teams Across Eastern, Central, and Pacific Time Zones Position Overview Wheeler Staffing Partners is seeking an experienced Leadership Recruiter to support healthcare leadership hiring initiatives nationwide. This fully remote contract opportunity is focused on recruiting and sourcing high-level healthcare professionals, including Director, Senior Director, Vice President, and other leadership positions. The ideal candidate will have a proven background recruiting healthcare leadership talent, strong sourcing capabilities, and experience managing multiple searches simultaneously. This individual will serve as a strategic talent partner, helping identify and attract top healthcare leaders while delivering an exceptional candidate and hiring manager experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage full-cycle recruitment efforts for healthcare leadership positions, including Director, Senior Director, Vice President, and other executive-level roles.
  • Partner with hiring leaders to develop recruiting strategies, define candidate profiles, and establish hiring timelines.
  • Develop and maintain talent pipelines through direct sourcing, networking, referrals, market research, and industry outreach.
  • Utilize advanced sourcing techniques to identify and engage passive candidates for leadership opportunities.
  • Conduct candidate screenings and behavioral interviews to assess qualifications, leadership competencies, and organizational fit.
  • Present qualified candidates and detailed assessments to hiring leaders.
  • Guide candidates through the recruitment process, ensuring a positive and professional experience.
  • Coordinate interviews, candidate feedback, offer processes, and onboarding activities.
  • Maintain accurate candidate records and recruiting activity within the Applicant Tracking System (ATS).
  • Track recruiting metrics and provide updates on search progress, talent availability, and market trends.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to hiring leaders regarding recruiting best practices, compensation trends, and market conditions.
  • Support employer branding initiatives and strategic talent acquisition projects as needed.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years of full-cycle recruiting experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years recruiting healthcare leadership or executive-level professionals.
  • Proven success recruiting Director-level, Vice President-level, and other senior healthcare leadership positions.
  • Healthcare recruiting experience is required.
  • Strong sourcing and talent mapping experience for leadership-level searches.
  • Experience building and maintaining pipelines of passive candidates.
  • Strong interviewing, candidate assessment, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple searches simultaneously while meeting deadlines and performance expectations.
  • Experience utilizing Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS), including iCIMS or similar platforms.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment while collaborating effectively with distributed teams.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience recruiting within home health, home care, hospice, or post-acute healthcare environments.
  • Staffing agency, retained search, or executive search firm experience.
  • Experience recruiting executive-level healthcare leaders.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
