Position Overview

We are seeking an enthusiastic, detail‑oriented Remote Customer Service Representative to join the Review Team at arenaflex. In this role, you will be the primary point of contact for beneficiaries, providers, and internal stakeholders, handling a variety of inquiries, processing correspondence, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives. This is a fully remote position with flexible shift options across EST, CT, and PST time zones, and a comprehensive benefits package that kicks in from day one.

Key Responsibilities

  • Helpline Management: Answer the Beneficiary Helpline, triage calls, provide accurate information, and route callers to appropriate resources or external agencies as needed.
  • Correspondence Creation: Draft, proofread, format, and mail letters and notices, ensuring grammatical precision, correct spacing, and timely delivery.
  • Data Validation: Retrieve, verify, and enter medical record components and appeal notices into the CMS system with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Intake & Appeals Processing: Conduct intake for all appeals received, documenting essential information and guiding beneficiaries through the review process.
  • Quality Assurance: Utilize internal quality control tools to assess personal work and team processes, identifying opportunities for improvement.
  • Collaboration: Foster effective working relationships between arenaflex’s internal teams and external customers, promoting a seamless flow of information.
  • Process Improvement: Participate in case reviews, contribute insights, and help shape policies that enhance efficiency and customer satisfaction.
  • Technology Utilization: Operate PC‑based systems, navigate multiple software platforms, and quickly adapt to new tools as they are introduced.

Essential Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional business coursework is a plus.
  • Two to three years of clerical experience, including word processing, filing, and telephone customer service.
  • Strong command of English grammar, punctuation, spelling, and written communication.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills with a courteous, patient demeanor.
  • Ability to remain composed under pressure and handle stressful situations with professionalism.
  • Basic understanding of medical terminology (preferred) and familiarity with health‑care environments.
  • Proficiency with PC‑based systems and the ability to learn new software quickly.
  • Demonstrated organizational skills, multitasking ability, and independent work ethic.

  • Experience with health‑care claims, appeals, or quality improvement processes.
  • Knowledge of CMS (Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services) platforms or similar case management tools.
