Why This Role Matters

As a Customer Engineer – Security, Public Sector at arenaflex, you will be the technical bridge between our sales organization and the customers who rely on arenaflex Cloud Security to protect their most critical assets. You will partner with C‑level executives, security leaders, architects, and analysts to design, demonstrate, and implement robust security solutions that meet stringent compliance requirements and defend against evolving cyber threats. Your expertise will directly influence the adoption of arenaflex’s security portfolio across federal, state, local, and educational institutions, helping them safeguard data, maintain trust, and accelerate digital transformation.

Key Responsibilities

• Strategic Technical Enablement: Collaborate with arenaflex Security Sales and Cloud teams to identify, qualify, and prioritize business opportunities, translating customer requirements into actionable technical roadmaps.
• Solution Architecture & Demonstrations: Design end‑to‑end security architectures that incorporate arenaflex Cloud Security services such as threat detection, malware intelligence, security posture management, and identity & access management. Deliver compelling proofs‑of‑concept, demos, and sandbox environments that showcase real‑world value.
• Technical Advocacy & Presentation: Craft and present technical briefings, white papers, and solution overviews to diverse audiences—including executives, technical staff, and partners—articulating the unique benefits of arenaflex’s security offerings.
• Compliance & Risk Guidance: Advise customers on regulatory frameworks (e.g., FedRAMP, FISMA, GDPR, HIPAA) and help them implement controls that meet or exceed compliance mandates while maintaining operational agility.
• Cross‑Functional Collaboration: Work closely with product marketing, engineering, and professional services teams to stay abreast of emerging threats, product enhancements, and market trends, feeding insights back into the product development cycle.
• Customer Success & Optimization: After solution deployment, partner with customers to monitor performance, fine‑tune configurations, and ensure that security outcomes align with business objectives.
• Travel & Thought Leadership: Represent arenaflex at customer sites, industry conferences, and internal events, sharing best practices and contributing to the broader security community.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
• At least 10 years of hands‑on experience in security or cloud‑native architectures, with a proven track record of delivering solutions in a customer‑facing capacity.
• Deep expertise in cybersecurity domains such as threat detection, malware intelligence, cloud security posture management, or identity & access management systems.
• U.S. citizenship (required to access Controlled Unclassified Information).

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s degree in a technical field (Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, etc.).
• Industry‑recognized certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CCSP, AWS Certified Security – Specialty, or equivalent arenaflex Cloud Security certifications).
• Demonstrated experience implementing enterprise‑scale security solutions, including threat hunting, ransomware mitigation, and zero‑trust architectures.

• Base salary range: $139,000 – $213,000, commensurate with experience, location, and expertise.
