Our mission‑driven culture empowers employees to solve real‑world problems, from optimizing supply chains to personalizing patient care, all while working in a flexible, remote‑first environment.

Why This Role Matters

As a Senior Data Scientist at arenaflex, you will be at the heart of data‑driven decision making. You’ll translate massive, complex datasets into actionable insights that shape strategic initiatives, improve operational efficiency, and enhance the customer experience. This is a unique opportunity to apply sophisticated statistical modeling, machine learning, and cloud‑based analytics to real‑world health‑care challenges—all from the comfort of your home office.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and deploy predictive and prescriptive models using advanced machine‑learning techniques such as supervised and unsupervised algorithms, deep learning, and Bayesian methods.
  • Build scalable data pipelines and analytical tools leveraging Python, PySpark, TensorFlow, PyTorch, and other modern tech stacks.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams—including finance, product, engineering, and business leadership—to define product requirements and deliver data‑driven solutions.
  • Perform exploratory data analysis, feature engineering, and statistical testing to uncover hidden patterns and drive business impact.
  • Utilize cloud platforms (Azure, Databricks) and data warehouses (Snowflake) to manage large‑scale data processing and model deployment.
  • Implement version control, CI/CD pipelines, and agile methodologies to ensure robust, reproducible, and maintainable code.
  • Communicate complex analytical findings clearly to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders, translating insights into strategic recommendations.
  • Lead A/B testing initiatives, evaluate model performance, and continuously iterate to improve accuracy and relevance.
  • Mentor junior analysts and contribute to a culture of continuous learning and knowledge sharing within the data science community at arenaflex.

Essential Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, or a related STEM field. A Master’s degree is highly preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum 4 years of professional experience in data science, machine learning, or quantitative analytics, with a proven track record of delivering production‑grade models.
  • Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in Python, SQL, and PySpark; hands‑on experience with TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit‑learn, and data visualization libraries such as Matplotlib or Seaborn.
  • Statistical Expertise: Strong foundation in probability, statistical inference, hypothesis testing, and experimental design.
  • Modeling Competence: Experience building classification, regression, clustering, and anomaly detection models (e.g., XGBoost, decision trees, K‑means, SVM).
  • Cloud & Data Engineering: Familiarity with Azure, Databricks, Snowflake, and building data pipelines in a distributed environment.
  • Communication: Ability to articulate technical concepts to non‑technical audiences and influence decision‑makers with data‑driven storytelling.
  • Leadership: At least 2 years of experience leading project teams or managing cross‑functional initiatives.
  • Flexibility: Willingness to travel up to 10% of the time for on‑site collaboration, client meetings, or industry events.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Ph.D. in a quantitative discipline such as Computer Science, Statistics, Physics, or Mathematics.
  • Experience with Internet of Things (IoT) data streams and Edge AI deployments.
  • Background in reinforcement learning and its application to real‑time decision systems.
  • Domain knowledge in health‑care, pharmacy, or related regulated industries.

Core Skills & Competencies

  • Analytical Rigor: Ability to work with massive, high‑dimensional datasets and extract meaningful insights.
  • Problem‑Solving Mindset: Proactive approach to identifying business challenges and designing data‑centric solutions.
  • Collaboration: Strong teamwork skills, comfortable partnering with engineers, product managers, and senior leadership.
  • Adaptability: Thrive in fast‑paced, ambiguous environments while maintaining focus on delivering results.
  • Continuous Learning: Commitment to staying current with emerging technologies, research papers, and industry best practices.

  • Opportunities to lead high‑visibility projects that directly influence corporate strategy.
  • Clear pathways to senior leadership roles such as Director of Analytics, Chief Data Officer, or Head of AI Innovation.
