Join arenaflex, a forward-thinking organization committed to transforming how healthcare data and patient services are delivered across the United States. At arenaflex, we partner with leading pharmaceutical and healthcare providers to deliver high-quality, patient-centered support services that improve outcomes and streamline care delivery. Our mission is rooted in accuracy, compliance, and compassion, ensuring that every interaction we facilitate contributes to better patient experiences and stronger healthcare systems.

We are currently seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Part Time Remote Pharmacy Data Entry & Customer Service Specialist to join our growing remote team. This position is ideal for individuals who thrive in structured, process-driven environments and who are passionate about patient care, data accuracy, and HIPAA-compliant communication. If you are looking to build a meaningful career in the healthcare support industry while enjoying the flexibility of remote work, arenaflex invites you to become part of our mission-driven team.

This role operates remotely and supports patient enrollment, prescription processing, and high-volume customer inquiries in alignment with state and federal regulations. Working under direct supervision, you will follow established standard operating procedures while using pharmacy information systems to retrieve and input patient and medication data. Your contributions will directly support pharmacists, prescribers, insurance providers, and patients, making this an ideal opportunity for those who want to make a tangible difference in the healthcare ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities

As a Part Time Remote Pharmacy Data Entry & Customer Service Specialist at arenaflex, your daily responsibilities will be diverse, impactful, and centered on precision, compliance, and service excellence. Below is a detailed overview of what your role will entail:

  • Patient Enrollment and Prescription Data Entry: Using arenaflex-approved prescription data entry procedures and guidelines, you will process new patient enrollments by accurately entering data into the appropriate pharmacy systems. You will handle patient prescription requests within strict HIPAA guidelines and enter refill orders for processing. This includes investigating to obtain missing prescription information and interpreting medical abbreviations such as SIG codes to ensure accuracy. You will be responsible for resolving all data entry-related exceptions in a timely manner.
  • Multi-Channel Patient and Prescriber Communication: You will manage correspondence with patients through various channels, including inbound phone calls, live chats, and email communications. Additionally, you will make outbound calls to prescribers and patients as needed to clarify information, confirm prescription details, and ensure continuity of care. Your communication skills will be critical in delivering clear, professional, and empathetic interactions at all times.
  • Third-Party Rejection Resolution: A core component of this role involves resolving third-party rejections by researching issues, gathering necessary information, making corrections, and resubmitting claims for processing according to individual payer requirements. You will make outbound phone calls to insurance providers and other relevant parties to obtain information, secure override approvals, or otherwise resolve outstanding third-party rejections.
  • Pharmacist Support and Issue Escalation: You will provide administrative and operational support to pharmacists, both within your immediate team and at remote locations. You will be expected to identify, document, and escalate complex issues to senior-level staff as appropriate, ensuring that challenges are addressed promptly and effectively.
  • Licensure and Certification Compliance: Candidates must obtain an active pharmacy technician license or certification within the first 90 days of employment and maintain an active status throughout their tenure at arenaflex. This requirement is essential to ensuring compliance with all regulatory and operational standards.
