Position Overview

We are seeking a detail‑oriented, self‑motivated Remote Healthcare Data Entry Specialist to support our insurance verification and enrollment operations. In this role, you will be the guardian of member data, ensuring that every entry into our systems is accurate, compliant, and timely. Key Responsibilities

  • Policy Management
    • Update member information in electronic portals with speed and precision.
    • Process policy termination requests and manage reinstatements in accordance with plan guidelines.
    • Enter and edit data in IDX and health‑plan portals, maintaining a 99%+ accuracy rate.
  • Health Coverage Administration
    • Maintain up‑to‑date coverage details, including eligibility, benefits, limitations, and exclusions.
    • Research and verify insurance plans for healthcare providers, ensuring accurate representation in the portal.
    • Escalate duplicate records or coverage discrepancies to supervisors promptly.
    • Interpret and analyze insurance verification and enrollment information to support downstream processes.
  • Compliance & Confidentiality
    • Adhere strictly to HIPAA and internal confidentiality policies, safeguarding sensitive member data.
    • Escalate complex or ambiguous issues to management for resolution.
    • Stay current on evolving health‑insurance regulations, coding updates (ICD‑9, ICD‑10), and policy changes.
  • Team Collaboration & Continuous Improvement
    • Share best practices and insights with teammates to enhance overall data quality.

Essential Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED (required).
  • Minimum of one (1) year of experience in claims examination, health insurance, customer service, call‑center, medical office, or a related healthcare field.
  • Proficient typing skills with a demonstrated ability to maintain speed (≥60 WPM) while preserving accuracy.
  • Strong computer literacy, including data‑entry software, screen navigation, and basic troubleshooting.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Ability to pass a background check and meet remote‑work technical requirements (minimum 25 Mbps download / 5 Mbps upload, hard‑wired connection).
