Position Summary

We are seeking a seasoned Senior Financial Accountant to join our remote Bookkeeping & Expense group. This role will be responsible for driving US GAAP and statutory reporting for both U.S. and European entities, maintaining robust internal controls, and delivering insightful financial analysis to senior leadership. Key Responsibilities

  • Compliance & Controls: Ensure all accounting processes adhere to arenaflex’s policies, internal controls, and external regulatory requirements (US GAAP, IFRS, SOX 404, and local statutory standards).
  • Month‑End Close: Lead the month‑end close for assigned entities, preparing journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statements with a focus on accuracy and timeliness.
  • Financial Reporting: Produce and review quarterly and annual financial reports, providing clear commentary on variances, trends, and key performance indicators.
  • Data Integrity: Own the integrity, accessibility, and reliability of financial data that fuels arenaflex’s data‑driven culture.
  • Process Improvement: Apply a continuous‑improvement mindset to existing accounting processes, identifying automation opportunities and recommending best‑practice enhancements.
  • Collaboration: Partner with the broader Finance organization, Tax, Legal, and Business Operations teams to resolve complex accounting issues and support strategic initiatives.
  • Audit Support: Coordinate with internal and external auditors, providing required documentation, explanations, and remediation plans.
  • Global Projects: Participate in regional and global finance projects, such as system migrations, policy rollouts, and regulatory change implementations.
  • Training & Mentorship: Coach junior accountants, sharing knowledge on technical accounting standards and arenaflex’s internal tools.

Essential Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA, CMA, or equivalent certification is highly preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum 5‑7 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 3 years in a senior bookkeeping or financial accounting role within a large, multinational organization.
  • Technical Expertise: Deep understanding of US GAAP, IFRS, and statutory reporting requirements for European subsidiaries.
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Hands‑on experience with SOX 404 compliance, internal control testing, and audit processes.
  • Analytical Skills: Proven ability to analyze large data sets, identify anomalies, and present findings in a clear, actionable manner.
  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; ability to convey complex financial concepts to non‑financial stakeholders.
  • Technology Proficiency: Advanced Excel skills, experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) and familiarity with data‑visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
