Position Overview – Remote Health Services Advocate (Ops)

We are seeking enthusiastic, detail‑oriented individuals to join our Health Outcomes Team as Remote Health Services Advocates. This role blends data entry, inbound/outbound outreach, and compassionate member support—all from the comfort of your home. Ideal candidates are proactive communicators who can translate complex health information into clear, actionable guidance for our members. While the position is open to candidates 16 years of age and older, we welcome applicants with a high school diploma, GED, or higher education credentials.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct inbound and outbound calls to members eligible for health services, screenings, vaccinations, or medication refills.
  • Accurately capture member information in the CRM system, ensuring data integrity for HEDIS reporting and quality initiatives.
  • Utilize persuasive communication techniques to educate members about available benefits, close gaps in care, and promote preventive health actions.
  • Provide courteous, respectful service, addressing all member inquiries or triaging them to the appropriate specialist.
  • Coordinate with internal teams—scheduling, clinical, pharmacy—to streamline member requests and resolve issues promptly.
  • Document every interaction, outcome, and follow‑up action in compliance with privacy and regulatory standards.
  • Identify trends or recurring challenges and recommend process improvements to enhance member experience.
  • Serve as a single point of contact for members, escalating complex cases when necessary while maintaining ownership of the resolution.
  • Educate members on navigating arenaflex tools, resources, and health plans to empower informed decision‑making.
  • Maintain a high level of product knowledge, staying current on policy updates, benefit changes, and industry best practices.

Essential Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree preferred but not mandatory.
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in a customer‑service or call‑center environment, preferably within health‑care or insurance.
  • Familiarity with HEDIS measures, health‑plan benefits, or related quality initiatives is a strong advantage.
  • Proficient with Windows‑based applications and standard office productivity suites (e.g., Microsoft Office, Google Workspace).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a clear, friendly, and empathetic tone.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Strong problem‑solving abilities and the capacity to think creatively to address member needs.
  • Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and meet performance metrics in a remote setting.

Preferred Qualifications & Additional Skills

  • Bilingual or multilingual capabilities (Spanish, Mandarin, etc.) are highly valued.
  • Certification or coursework in health‑care administration, medical terminology, or related fields.
  • Clinical experience (e.g., Certified Nursing Assistant, Medical Assistant) is a plus but not required.
  • Experience using CRM platforms, electronic health record (EHR) systems, or similar data‑entry tools.
  • Demonstrated empathy, active listening, and a genuine desire to help others improve their health outcomes.
  • Adaptability to evolving processes, technology updates, and shifting priorities in a fast‑paced environment.

Core Competencies for Success

  • Communication: Clear articulation of complex health concepts in plain language.
  • Relationship Building: Ability to forge trust with members, providers, and internal partners.
  • Analytical Thinking: Spotting patterns in data, identifying gaps, and proposing actionable solutions.
  • Technical Proficiency: Comfort navigating multiple software applications and learning new tools quickly.
  • Resilience: Maintaining composure under pressure and turning challenges into opportunities for service excellence.
  • Integrity: Upholding confidentiality, compliance, and ethical standards in all interactions.
