The Opportunity

We are seeking a thoughtful, analytical, and high-energy Customer Experience Engineer with a deep specialization in cloud networking. In this role, you will work directly with some of the largest enterprise customers in the world, guiding them through sophisticated migration projects, resolving intricate platform challenges, and translating real-world customer insights into actionable product enhancements. You will be the trusted technical advisor who combines deep networking expertise with empathy, communication, and a builder's mindset.

This is not a back-office engineering role. It is a customer-facing, high-visibility position where your technical judgment directly shapes customer outcomes and influences the future direction of the arenaflex platform.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Customer Partnership

  • Partner with program managers, service delivery teams, and customer stakeholders to plan, architect, and deliver complex infrastructure deployments and large-scale migration projects for enterprise accounts.
  • Engage directly with customer application, infrastructure, and security teams to define requirements, migration strategy, and operational processes that ensure long-term success.
  • Act as a trusted advisor and subject matter expert for cloud networking, helping customers adopt best practices and modernize their network architectures with confidence.

Product Influence and Feedback Loop

  • Capture, synthesize, and deliver structured feedback from customers to arenaflex product engineering teams, influencing roadmap decisions and driving measurable product improvements.
  • Escalate blocking issues with clear technical context, business impact, and recommended paths forward.
  • Partner with domain engineering teams to scope, build, and document repeatable customer solutions, accelerators, and reference architectures.

Technical Leadership and Knowledge Sharing

  • Maintain cutting-edge expertise in cloud networking innovations, emerging workloads, and platform capabilities through continuous learning and experimentation.
  • Conduct internal experiments and proof-of-concept work that inform product improvement and customer guidance.
  • Act as a subject matter trainer for other specialists, delivering enablement sessions, technical workshops, and structured learning content.
  • Share knowledge broadly through solution documents, technical community engagement, self-help automation, and formal training programs.

Cross-Team Collaboration and Escalation Ownership

  • Collaborate daily with fellow engineers to build technical action plans, troubleshoot complex issues, and take ownership of situations requiring senior escalation.
  • Serve as a cloud networking resource for both customers and internal engineering teams, providing guidance, mentorship, and architectural review.
  • Embody and champion arenaflex's culture and values in every customer interaction and internal collaboration.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field, plus two or more years of professional experience in the software or cloud industry.
  • Equivalent practical experience will also be considered in lieu of a formal degree.
  • Hands-on experience with cloud infrastructure deployment and development tooling, including PowerShell, Azure Resource Manager, Terraform, and Azure CLI.
  • Solid working experience in cloud networking, along with expertise in one or more core IaaS services such as Linux on cloud, Windows Server on cloud, VMware-based services, or data center migration and disaster recovery.
  • Working knowledge of security models that combine cloud-native services with virtual appliances, and the ability to translate these concepts clearly to customer teams.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Five or more years of experience working directly with enterprise customers on cloud-specific solutions, application development, and deployment projects.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to engage confidently with executive stakeholders, demonstrate a clear understanding of the customer onboarding journey, and articulate a compelling vision for the future of cloud support.
  • Deep familiarity with advanced networking architectures such as Hub and Spoke topologies, ExpressRoute, and Virtual WAN.
  • Experience with third-party networking vendors and ecosystems is a strong plus.
  • Working knowledge of networking protocols such as BGP.
  • Prior on-premises networking and infrastructure experience is highly valued.
  • Proficient customer service skills, excellent oral and written communication, and a proven ability to navigate difficult, sensitive, and politically charged customer situations while leading projects and motivating cross-functional teams.
