About arenaflex – Pioneering the Future of Entertainment

arenaflex is redefining how millions of people around the world discover, enjoy, and share movies, series, documentaries, and original productions. With a relentless focus on technology, storytelling, and user experience, arenaflex has built a global streaming platform that delivers high‑quality content to a diverse audience across every device and connection type. Our mission is simple: to make great entertainment accessible to anyone, anywhere, at any time. To achieve this, we rely on a sophisticated ecosystem of cloud services, data pipelines, and, most importantly, the people who ensure that every title is accurately described, searchable, and presented in the best possible way.

Why This Role Matters

At arenaflex, the richness of our content library is only as good as the metadata that describes it. Accurate tags, genre classifications, language details, and content warnings enable our recommendation engines to serve the right shows to the right viewers, improve discoverability, and enhance overall satisfaction. As a Remote Content Tagger & Data Entry Specialist, you will be the guardian of this critical information, directly influencing the viewing experience of millions of subscribers worldwide.

Role Overview

This full‑time remote position is part of arenaflex’s Global Content Operations team. You will work closely with engineers, product managers, and quality assurance specialists to ingest, validate, and enrich metadata for a constantly expanding catalog of titles. While the primary focus is on tagging and data entry, you will also collaborate on process improvements, automation initiatives, and cross‑functional projects that drive efficiency and accuracy across the entire metadata pipeline.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review and ingest raw content data from acquisition partners, ensuring completeness and compliance with arenaflex standards.
  • Apply detailed tags—including genre, sub‑genre, mood, language, subtitles, parental controls, and content warnings—to each title.
  • Perform quality checks on existing metadata, identifying and correcting inconsistencies, duplicates, or missing information.
  • Collaborate with the engineering team to test and refine micro‑service APIs that power metadata ingestion and retrieval.
  • Participate in regular audits of the metadata repository, generating reports on accuracy, coverage, and timeliness.
  • Provide feedback on workflow bottlenecks and suggest automation opportunities using scripting or low‑code tools.
  • Maintain documentation of tagging guidelines, best practices, and standard operating procedures.
  • Assist in training new remote team members, sharing knowledge about arenaflex’s content taxonomy and quality expectations.
  • Contribute to cross‑functional initiatives aimed at improving streaming performance, recommendation relevance, and user satisfaction.

Essential Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of professional experience in software development, data management, or a related technical field.
  • Proficiency with at least one modern programming language (e.g., Python, Java, Go, or Node.js) and the ability to write clean, maintainable code.
  • Hands‑on experience working within micro‑service architectures, including RESTful APIs and message‑queue systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with large datasets, perform data validation, and ensure data integrity.
  • Strong analytical mindset with an eye for detail and a commitment to delivering high‑quality work.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, enabling clear documentation and effective collaboration across distributed teams.
  • Self‑motivated, comfortable working remotely, and capable of managing time and priorities independently.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in the media or entertainment industry, particularly with content tagging, metadata standards (e.g., EIDR, MPEG‑7), or digital asset management.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Knowledge of streaming protocols (HLS, DASH) and an understanding of how metadata influences playback quality and recommendation algorithms.
  • Prior involvement in process automation, using tools like Selenium, Puppeteer, or custom scripts to reduce manual effort.
  • Exposure to data visualization tools (Tableau, Looker, Power BI) for reporting and audit purposes.

Core Skills & Competencies

  • Attention to Detail: Ability to spot subtle discrepancies in large volumes of data.
  • Problem‑Solving: Comfortable diagnosing issues in complex systems and proposing practical solutions.
  • Collaboration: Strong team player who thrives in a multicultural, globally distributed environment.
  • Adaptability: Comfortable navigating ambiguity and shifting priorities in a fast‑paced tech landscape.
  • Continuous Learning: Eagerness to stay current with emerging technologies, industry standards, and best practices.
